Hello!

I'm in the process of creating a new faucet, and it has been a mess setting reward prices! I really do not want to start a faucet without knowing whether or not the reward will be attractive to the crowd. I came to the conclusion 1250, 1500 or 2000 satoshi / 240 minutes, with a 50% (for the first weeks at least) ref commision. Now to the question, would you consider this good for a new faucet?

Not the best but good enough for starters at least ... The time interval is a bit long, maybe try to decrease that in future and the most important thing since you didn't mention it, is the percentage of each rewards so if your going to use a 4 hour cool down then at least make up for it by giving a fair percentage for the higher rewards if you want to attract requiring daily visitors, something like this:
1250(40%)    1500(35%)     2000(25%)

No. You know why?

You'll end up losing a ton of money. The payout is pretty high compared to others, and on top of that, ever since the bitcoin price rose a lot of people are using faucets (still unprofitable, but I'll leave that out). You really shouldn't be worrying if the rewards will be "attractive"; just start out small and start deciding if you want to boost your payouts later on once you get an idea of the profit (positive or negative).

That is a good reward, but hold the average payout low (1250 70%, 1500 20% and 2000 10%). Also the ref % is good and maybe is 50% to high for a starter. Realise that alomost every visitor comes with a referral, so every claim is +50%.
And hold enough bitcoins in reserve because the advertising payout is allways later than you think. Wink

For most of the faucet users thoses rewards are great, same goes for the referral commission.
For you i will give an example, 1400 (average payments) × 3 (average claims per day) = 5200 × 1000 users = 5.200.000 satoshi + 2.600.000 (ref comm) = 7.800.000 satoshi = 0.078BTC = 27.5$/day
The number of users, claims may be less or more than what I picked so if you think you can afford this then you will get many users/traffic else think again  Smiley

Good points, however I should maybe lower the ref commision to 25% at least!

Greetings, at first did the same several rewards 50% of referrals etc...
Now I prefer a single reward and not very high % of referred, be careful that dry you the faucet.

Edit: Again take care, there are hundreds of bots and servers dedicated to stalking.
