I was just on hashnest and deposited 10 mbtc to it.
Then, I was set on purchasing antminer s7 Gigahashes.
I then noticed that the maintenance fees were a maximum of 30% for 8 GH/s purchase for 10mbtc
I then noticed that the maintenance fees for an s3 was a maximum of 80% of 40 GH/s for around 9 mbtc.
So I bought 40GH/s of s3 contracts instead (recon ROI will be faster)!

Any Comments?

S3 is kinda old tech at this point, and not the greatest electricity efficiency.  Before going crazy on S3's i would do some serious ROI math.

If difficulty keeps going up like it is hashnest's fees make S3 not so great on earning.   I personally would not go under S5 unless you got a steal of a deal.

I made the initial post as soon as i bought it.
I checked it half an hour ago and I have already made 600 satoshi!
If the bitcoin price keeps going up, then I will be fine!
The price will continue to increase!

I don't think you understand or read what I have been saying!
For 90% less, I bought a miner share! This means that I will have a better ROI as I have been moninering the S3 for 3 months and it has remained at less than 80% in maintenance!

If the difficulty keeps increasing like it currently is, then you're fucked. It rose like 10% in a single day, because of the release of new chips. You have to pray for the price to increase as well. Risky business, however I wish you luck and a fast ROI.

The thing with S3 hashes is that you don't have much of a cushion. If btc goes sub-$300 again, you'll get bust. If it stays ~2 weeks like that, you may lose everything. Aside from that, the market is not so fluid. Only about ~3-5k Gh/day are traded, which is bad if for example, you needed money, you only have a small margin to trade to, without crashing the price.

In the end, it's all about risk management, and from what I've read from a blog somewhere, they claimed S4s have better price/GH than S3s. I do not know, I never did the math.

Congratulations you've picked the best legit cloud mining service in the web. Almost 90% of the cloud mining services around are 100% SCAM.

Bitmain's Hashnest is the best!

The only other legit cloud mining service I can think of is MininSweden.se (you don't make any profit with them if you rent a miner unless you have high loyalty and buy more than 3 months of power for you miner! at $60/month, for two months its $70/month and for 1 month it is $80/month. The antminer s5s that they are selling, only make $62 gross produce per month!)

The cloud mining last weeks has been quite risky. With prices dumping so much as 70% (at hashnest).

So there is also a lot of risk involved, since that market is also manipulated.

Quite valid. I don't know of any falls on Hashnest, but as long as Antpool is fine, I am! I was reflecting on the fact that if I sold back now, I would make a profit of 400 satoshi for one night! I obviously won't do this, until the market price falls or goes up! Or if the maintenance fees go up (I will check these every 8 hours, the same time it takes (on average) for antpool to crack two blocks and get their reward!)

Do any of you guys know if genesis-mining is legit as well?
Also, can I ask what is the cloud mining that breaks even the fastest?

GL op! I'm thinking of (re)investing into cloud mining as well Smiley

Hashnest, seems to break even the fastest (at 300-480 days!)
I have not looked at genesis-mining, I cannot offer an expert opinion it, however, I would suggest that you search it on the forum, on GoogleTM and the Scam Accusations part of the Forum (more information will be given there! Evidence will also be provided there).

Just allowing a site to look good is not everything! There was a cloud mining website that closed (i forgot its name) it was claiming that it was shut to expand their data centre but it still hasn't re-opened, be careful with you Bitcoins before they all leave you for a scammer!
