CurrencyFair.com as an alternative way in getting money to Mt.Gox. Obviously this would work the same way in reverse if you would like to sell bitcoins (I have yet to try that
). You will need to send them ID to get your account verified.
When sending funds to your CurrencyFair account, the sending account must be an account in your name. After you've converted the funds then you can send them as a bank wire to any bank account.
I believe Mt. Gox also requires that that name on the account where the funds are sent from be in your name. So sending from Currency Fair to Mt. Gox wouldn't be successful, as far as I know, since the funds would be coming from CurrencyFair, and not your account. Perhaps Mt. Gox is inconsistent in how this restriction is applied?
But you won't be able to send your Mt. Gox funds to Currency Fair for the reason I described above .. the funds must be sent from an account in your name.
If there are exceptions, this would be good to know because there is a log of arbitrage I've passed up because I had the belief that I couldn't send from CurrencyFair to Mt. Gox and vice-versa.
Now for over-the-counter trading there would be no restriction on you transferring your Currency Fair funds to the bitcoin seller in another currency jurisdiction.
