Hey guys it has been more than 2 hours since i received bitcoins and transaction is still unconfirmed.

Details of transaction if it helps.

https://blockchain.info/tx/3f4e5ca5e9f9c0f88ca6ebc5b87229c8e867ee609d677accd92b0cabffbe47c3

Following are the note able points regarding this transaction.

1. When i received the bitcoins, i sent some of these to another address.

2. At this time, Network propogation was 93% with arround 450 something nodes.

3. Then after two hours. Now when i clicked on the transaction, it is showing 0% Network Propogation.

4. and also when i clicked on the Network Propogation Map I am getting following error.

No inventory information available. (Link: https://blockchain.info/inv/3f4e5ca5e9f9c0f88ca6ebc5b87229c8e867ee609d677accd92b0cabffbe47c3)

Kindly help me guys what could be the problem.

It looks like you just threw away $600. Did you have a computer malfunction or crash when you sent the transaction? I lost a little once when I clicked to send right when my computer crashed. I was never able to recover the btc. It wasn't in my wallet and the network never received a valid transaction.

no dude, my friend added 600$ to his coinbase account and sent me the entire amount without getting confirmation. I think that`s where the whole problem is. And i m using blockchain wallet. Everything online nothing on my computer

Hey guys it has been more than 2 hours since i received bitcoins and transaction is still unconfirmed.

Details of transaction if it helps.

https://blockchain.info/tx/3f4e5ca5e9f9c0f88ca6ebc5b87229c8e867ee609d677accd92b0cabffbe47c3
- snip -

That transaction spends an output from this unconfirmed transaction:
https://blockchain.info/tx/c63648075d5f1bf7c433e35d4b83aadcd65e623528a6bca194021d661562111f

Your transaction can not confirm until the transaction output that it's spending has confirmed.  Hopefully that previous transaction will confirm soon. Until it does, there is a risk of it becoming invalid.

As for the reason that the previous transaction hasn't confirmed yet:

Another attack...last 6 blocks (edit: and counting) have been hit.

Example: #385910 with 19125 fake sigOps.  The block is only 200KB despite a 5MB backlog (according to tradeblock).  It seems this attack is very effective.

Edit:
#385911 unaffected (enough high-fee legit txs)
#385912 = 18990 fake sigOps, 280KB.
#385913 = 18945 fake sigOps, 281KB.
#385914 = 17325 fake sigOps, 470KB.
...etc.

There is a DOS attack against the blockchain going on right now.  It is causing transactions to take longer than usual to confirm.

In order to pull of the attack the attacker has to pay a higher than average transaction fee.  They will eventually run out of money and the attack will stop, but in the meantime you can send your transactions with higher fees to make sure that your transactions get confirmed instead of the attackers (which will force the attacker to spend through their bitcoins even faster to maintain the attack).

Do you know how much money the attackers have? Will it be over soon?

I don't.

Will it be over soon?

Impossible to know.  Increase the fees that you pay on the transactions that you send and you'll see two benefits.  Your transactions will confirm faster, and the attacker will either find their attack ineffective or they will have to spend much more money to maintain the attack.

Good suggestion, thanks Danny!

How's that possible? Are you saying that those coins just vanished, I assume either they went through to the address you sent them to or they must have returned back to the address they were sent from. The coins can't get lost in between, that's just not possible.
