If they contact me asking me to sell the collateral, then I don't have an issue with this. It benefits me because I avoid the risk of a potential dispute about the collateral. As stated elsewhere in the post you quoted, if they simply disappear and do not contact me then all of the collateral is mine.

This term encourages communication.
