It wouldn't be surprising if some of their funds are laundered via Bitcoin.

Bizarre indeed what's happening with these CEOs, but nowhere in the article does it allude to converting to bitcoin, so it's all just wild speculation at this point.

Due to Chinese capital control, many ppl are transferring their money to BTC and sent out abroad! It is another use case for spreading the Bitcoin!

Check out BTC/CNY volume.  China's driving it higher again.

so the rest of the world just adapt to their crazy demand, this is good, they are increasing directly the value, by forcing the other to have the same demand

this could explain the recent price surge, basically it's always china involved

But such things are not looking good for Bitcoins, as governments may find it to be a money-laundering activity being driven with the use of Bitcoins.

Looking good or not what can we do about it?! Not too much so we should just drop it. To repeat it again, dollar is being used all over the world for the illegal activities, cars as well, etc. If criminals choose Bitcoin that's their problem, not ours!

On the other note, yes I have read an article as well and was confused at first since Bitcoin is nowhere mentioned. So all of this is just OP's theory, nothing more!

Okay, man! I am sorry, I went too speculative, and am very much attached to Bitcoins, so sometimes get too emotional when it comes to something good or bad for it.

This article did not mention bitcoin at all. It has nothing to do with bitcoin. Why the tile of this OP mention " converting to Bitcoin and fleeting the country"?
It is misleading and creating a rumour.

Does this forum encourage the creating and spreading rumour?

No word about Bitcoin, Blockchain or crypto currency in that article!
So this is just extremely wild guesses here!
There might be Bitcoin involved, regarding these guys, but in fact we don't know.
So I don't understand the reason and the need for this thread when OP can not deliver any true facts!

fees charges inflation, it avoids it all, so it dosn't need to be

It could explain these short spikes we are seeing lately... but it's highly unlikely for CEO's to shift that much funds from fiat and it not being picked up, by some bank or exchange.

The vehicle for doing that is possible via Bitcoin... but we will see much more volatility if it was done on a large scale. How much would they have to shift from all the Chinese

exchanges to have a significant impact on the price?

You can keep using this strategy hoping for fast gains, until it doesn't happen again and after you think you have sold right at the top, you realize you sold right at the beginning of the next big wave which will indeed correct, but will correct above your last sell order, which means you are left out of the game. In other words, trying to time the Bitcoin market will lead to eventually screwing up badly and lossing more money than just holding long term without shorting.

First there is no evidence but only speculation about btc being used to flee.

Second, the funny thing about this is i've warned the community many times regarding Chinese business ethics. Yet many ppl here ignored and even voted for BIP that let Chinese miners have power to dictate bitcoin protocol rules. Most even look up to Chinese Btc exchanges like they're even contributing any thing to Bitcoin.

Bitcoin's future in my eyes is very questionable.
