Its crazy, very few big companies have a big control on what we use, what we eat and what we drink. These products can be found everywhere.

Wait... PepsiCo owns KFC!? WTF!! My view of the world has changed forever. Can you all at how all these big companies own all the unhealthy product companies? What does that say... It doesn't say anything. Companies are not forcing their customers their products down to throat, at least not yet. Only we are responsible what we eat and what we are putting into our bodies!

Don't forget, AHB (Budweiser) is buying out Miller/Coors. Miller Coors, also has 20+ Brewers under them. AHB is projected to own 80% of the beer industry...

Cocacola, Nestle, uniliver have lots of products also in my country. Cocacola have introduced mineral water named kinley here but they fail to overtake the existing mineral water market. These companies are the dominators of the world consumer market. Nice graphical presentation.

http://attachedmoms.com/10-reasons-to-boycott-nestle/ This is very nice artical about nestle and some reasons why its good to start boycott all nestle products. It’s sad to say but I think most chocolate companies are like this. It seems that this is news to a lot of people. This all sounds like something we need to think about. And about Coca Cola so I need to comment anything? I think we are already aware of how much "healthy" coca cola is, but anyway people drinking it around the world more and more.

Hello :-)
Wow! i really had no idea that some of these companies really own these brands. It is good on one hand as your favourite brand is probably available no matter what country you are living in. But the downside is definitely that monopolies are generally not a good thing.
Cheers

I found about this a couple years ago, not really a fan of most of these brands. They're not the healthiest.
I like to stick to my vegetables and meat. Your body doesn't need all these products.

This is how the richer becomes more rich and poor always remain in same area. Same happen to companies like bigger company are dominating small companies. They open new small level company to compete next company started by small investors.

These big companies pays a fortune to keep the brand alive, being directed to child or the dadys the thing is that they always take our attencion into promotions on tv as when they give some discount or extra offer, its impossible to start today a new brand and try to stay alive ,big companies can kill any new brand .

This is why small scale manufacturing companies cannot compete with this giants. Because of tv/radio ads, they can now somehow manipulate prizes of the products they have even a lot of same product are on the market.

To me there is nothing wrong when i choose to buy anything from the above mentioned companies. What they have done is being able to make the world we live in a better place than ever. Even though they make money, you are always getting a service in return and thus it is not something we can say maybe is they are forcing you to make purchases. Globalization expand the company and am sure then even as you start your own company, you always want to get global at one point. Celebrate these people instead.

Eye opening indeed. However every single product on that list is entirely voluntary and alternatives are easily available. If those products are what a big chunk of the world wants then they'll get it.

As the world starts to globalize, it is accompanied by criticism of the current forms of globalization, which are feared to be overly corporate-led. As corporations become larger and multinational, their influence and interests go further accordingly. Being able to influence and own most media companies, it is hard to be able to publicly debate the notions and ideals that corporations pursue. Some choices that corporations take to make profits can affect people all over the world. Sometimes fatally. The Rise of CorporationsThese big companies do not like the competition at all, they merge and buy each other out. They do a lot of lobbying they bribe to the top, most politicians are run by these corporations. No room for the small business anymore I have seen them bite the dust over the years. Food companies are manipulating the prices with each other,Its these multinationals that actually rule the world.
