Convenience store chain FamilyMart will accept bitcoin at nearly 3,000 locations in Taiwan after striking a deal with local wallet provider BitoEX.

"According to BitoEX, more than 500 transactions have already been made at FamilyMart stores since the feature was launched on 24th October. The firm also claims that it now has 40,000 web wallet users and a 30% annual growth rate."

Overall good news, but what bugs me a little is fact that this deal is associated with some online wallet which I am not familiar with.
I hope it is not that I need to have BitoEX account and keep my coins in their wallet to be able purchase anything? Right?
