A few weeks back I sent 1 BTC via Coinapult to my nephew and all seemed to go fine (i.e. the email was sent), however, he only got around to installing a Bitcoin client the other day and when he went to the site to try and redeem the 1 BTC it reported the balance as being 0 BTC. He sent a support request (which hasn't been responded to in now over 48 hours) and I sent a PM to Erik (which hasn't been responded to for over 24 hours) with the relevant tx id. Some support would be appreciated to work out what has happened to the 1 BTC (unfortunately not the greatest first experience for someone to have with Bitcoin which now makes me hesitant to recommend Coinapult for such purposes).

I doubt you're going to get much customer support from US-based people over the Thanksgiving holiday.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

Oh - shit - yeah - being from Australia and living in Beijing I forgot all about that.
Well hopefully will hear from someone early next week then.

I'm in Australia too. I'm thinking that all Aussie Bitcoin businesses should probably put notices up about when they're going to be closed over Christmas given that a lot of people are rolling the weekend before Christmas into a long weekend so many businesses will be closed from the 21st December until at least the 27th.

I am curious how to get a hold of coinapult, as I accidentally sent coins back to the address coinapult sent to me from. I sent two messages using the site, but I never got a reply and this was months ago.

SealsWithClubs poker room has over 400 players online. Buy in from .01 to 60btc. BTCSportsMatch lets you bet sports with vig free lines! Best kept secret in bitcoin.... LocalBitcoins.com is very user-friendly now for bank transfers. You don't have to live close to trade when in the same currency area. Electrum client is awesome. Try it. And please stop sending bitcoins to sites run by security newbies, or don't complain when you lose everything.

There was a hardware failure with Coinapult's server about a week ago. Plus, the guys have bee traveling NYC to Hong Kong the last few days. I only know because one was acting as escrow on a very large transaction. The timing difference was annoying but the transaction was all closed perfectly. So I bet they will run by this thread eventually and get it resolved.

Just to update I did get a reply to my PM to Erik and they are going to get someone to look at this in the next couple of days (will update this thread again after that).
To be fair to Coinapult the whole Thanksgiving thing had skipped my mind and was happy to get the message from Erik.

Well - am still waiting for the follow up contact. I think Thanksgiving is well and truly over now - if there is anyone doing support at Coinapult I would appreciate a PM.

Unfortunately it would seem that there simply is no support at Coinapult.
Erik and others - I know you guys are busy but seriously I think you should consider selling this "service" to someone who understands how to deliver reasonable service.

My friend sent 1.5 BTC through Coinapult via Bitinstant the other day and it went fine, but today sent 15 BTC(!) but when he clicked the link it said, "You have: 0 BTC." Also never got an email from Coinapult this time, just one from Bitinstant confirming the order.
This was through Bitinstant's "bitcoin-to-email" service.
I hope that $200 isn't lost forever.
***UPDATE: This issue has been resolved, all funds have been received.

I need to get a hold of support at some point too. I'm missing over 5 btc, and I've already waited months.

Oh shit.
Rather than running around promoting Bitcoin, I'd rather have the team make sure the basic services actually work. This is serious money on the line, not to mention the reputation of the services and the people behind them.
***UPDATE: This issue was resolved, all funds received. Hopefully just Thanksgiving jitters.

Still nothing - am beginning to wonder whether I have to put the word SCAMMERS in the thread title to get any help.
