I use blockchain as my online wallet.

I've seen people leaving comments here that it has issues.

I'm not aware of these, could someone explain please?
some of my friend lost their btc on blockchain , its around 0.1-0.5 , and probably because they'd click on scam or phising site and fill in the data there, to prevent against this just enable 2 factor authentication

Hello ranochigo

I have not used electrum at all. It sounds like it has a lot of good features. I did not know about the decentralized feature of this wallet and would really have to check it out. It does sound more secure. Also the backup feature does seem really interesting, i will have to check it out

Cheers

My vote would go Electrum. It has a cold storage spending feature and is relatively decentralised since you can select your own server to trust. The Hierarchical Deterministic seeds is a huge plus since users only need to make one and only backup to be able to recover the coins. Clients like Bitcoin Core requires backups every 100 transactions.

Hello odolvlobo

I have not heard of airbitz. Are they a new company as i have never heard anyone mention them?

Cheers

Airbitz is the best.
Mycellium is great, too.
None of the desktop walets are as good, though Electrum is my favorite desktop wallet.

As for the poll, perhaps all of the major wallets should be added rather than the random assortment. "other" has the most votes.

Hello unamis76

I found armory very resource hungry as well, Does it not require you to download the whole blockchain? I generally like lightweight wallets, preferably something that can be used on your mobile device.

If you have a lot of storage i think armory is good for you, maybe if you are a developer?

Cheers

I chose Armory. It's a very advanced wallet, with good developers and a track record of allowing to be deployed easily on safe environments and being quite stable. It works with core and extends it's functionality all while having a nice graphical interface that helps more novice users learn, become more expert and setup their Bitcoin wallets in the right way.

Hello LuckyYOU

Blockchain.info is not really that secure. You should make sure that you do not keep the bulk of you bitcoins there as they have had some issues in the past. Also i personally have had a few error messages when accessing the website, but i think this downtime is due to too much traffic where the CDN can not cope.

It is OK for a quick and easy set up of an online wallet, but you should always have the bulk of your coins offline preferable in a paper wallet.

In terms if the POLL it looks like Mycelium and Armory are the top choices so far, but my vote still goes to myelium, i may switch over to electrum as there does seem to be extra features that look quite promising.

Cheers

I use blockchain as my online wallet.

I've seen people leaving comments here that it has issues.

I'm not aware of these, could someone explain please?

I like to keep my mind open and look into different options.

..SNIP... Greenaddress.it all uses central validation. I don't particularly trust biometric authentication. After all, people have exploited iPhone's fingerprint sensor and people can knock you out to steal your Bitcoins.

Actually with GreenAddress you have the option to validate via SPV on GreenBits (on by default) and via Electrum servers on the Chrome or Cordova apps (on by default). With GreenBits you can even connect to your own node, including via Tor Onion bitcoin nodes

Hi everyone, just wanted to get your opinion about bitcoin wallets.

Which wallet do you think is best with the best features? It could be in terms of security? Stability? Ease of use? My personal opinion is that the best combination is Blockchain.info as a daily hot wallet and a Paper Wallet for long term cold storage. If i had to choose a proper wallet i would choose Mycelium.

What does everyone think?

I look forward to your opinion

Cheers

Your list has not the name of the best in all wallet. Is a web one and its name is Coinbase. I don't know if has leave this wallet out intentionally (because it is impossible that you have not hears about that) or for another aim. But below I will give some data who make it the only in its kind.

Is the wallet of more than 2.8 million customers from all over the world. 98% of customer funds are stored offline. Offline storage provides an important security measure against theft or loss. They distribute bitcoin geographically in safe deposit boxes and vaults around the world. The sensitive data that would normally reside on their servers are disconnected entirely from the internet. Drives and paper backups are distributed geographically in safe deposit boxes and vaults around the world.

Naturally exist 2 step verification. I use Authy and have not necessity to wait for the code from the automated machine or their server. I open my Authy of my smartphone and the code is generated there and is read when I open the application. So no delay in waiting the arrive of code in your cell like in other similar cases of 2 step verification.

Store your own private keys. You can create a multisig vault in minutes, just like you would a regular vault or wallet. The difference is that you're in total control of your private keys. You control the majority of the keys. Keys are created and encrypted in the browser. Send bitcoin with ease using only your password. Buy bitcoin directly into the vault. Invite up to 5 co-signers to a group vault.

Coinbase is insured against employee theft and hacking in an amount that exceeds the average value of online bitcoin it holds at any given time. Specifically, Coinbase's insurance policy would respond in the event that bitcoin stored in Coinbase was lost or stolen as a result of a breach of our physical security, cyber security, or as a result of employee theft. Coinbase has held this insurance since November 2013 with highly rated carriers (S&P rating of A+ or A.M. Best Rating of A XV or higher).

You can buy and sell bitcoin within your wallets with the best possible prices. This service is offered for the moment in only for 36 countries. Soon hope to be others added.

I have a couple of wallets between coinsbase and blockchain and of course an offline wallet.

If you have some bitcoins I'd highly suggest to get an offline wallet.

I've only used coinbase so far, there's not much on it but I haven't had any issues with it so far.

I'm pretty satisfied, it's really easy to use and user friendly for people who are new to bitcoin.

Bitcoin Core has the best features for me. I only need to be able to send and receive transactions, and also signing messages. That for me is all I need.

We're talking about Bitcoin here, you can charge back on paypal. For blockchain.info, 2FA may work what if they use the login information to attempt a log in immediately after you keyed it in? Desktop wallets are equally vulnerable if the user don't verify the signature of the program. If you are connecting to the download/wallet server with unsecured WIFI, you can be vulnerable if the attacker uses SSL strip and if your browser/website doesn't protect you from such attacks.

I think Mycelium is the best, because it's very simple and easy to use on my smartphone. And also because some Bitcoin wallet is not compatible with my phone Cheesy
And I also like Blockchain.info, but this wallet is too mainstream for me Smiley
