Hello

When I double click the icon of my electrum wallet on my desktop then it will not open.
I can see at my mouspointer a small moving circle pointing out that a application is starting or loading.
After a few minutes I tried to stop the process in my taskmanager but thats also not working.
I can not stop the process of starting also.
The only thing I ca do is to restart my computer to stop the process of starting.
I am using windows 7 home 64 bit.

Yesterday the wallet was working.

can someone help me to get my wallet working again?

Regards Solvius

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Got the same problem here... same platform.  We'll get it sorted out.  I suspect it's a server issue and the failure is novel enough not to show an appropriate dialog.  The fact that I can't kill the proc may mean that it's in some kind of endless loop.

I was also thinking that it was a server problem, somewhere.

I am just using Bitcoins for around 3 weeks, so I kinda became in a state of panic Smiley

Thanx for your answer btcbot

No problem...  as long as you have your seed (12 or 13 words), there's never really a problem with Electrum.

And the 2.5.4 installer craps out in the same way...  (Currently running 2.5.2.)

And it's unkillable from the TaskMgr with the same 116KB size.

I also just tried to install the sources, and the PyQT installer craps out in the same unkillable way with a 116KB proc memory size.

I now have:

2 2.5.4 installers running...
2 PYQt installers...
4 Electrum 2.5.2 instances...

So, there seems to be something very wrong then, I guess. Sad

btw, I also noticed that there are 3 exe's are running in the task manager when I try to start it up once.

Mine, too... would be nice if it didn't happen again, too!  I've been using Electrum for almost 3 years now and this is the first this has happened.
