Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

It depends on how high the temperature of the chips can go. At present, the temperature of my GPU is around 70 degree. It also needs to either immerse the chips in the liquid or use a water cooler. It cost money.

It's not a groundbreaking idea -- miners have been heating their homes since 2009, but it is a good one.

In a simple system, the maximum operating temperature of the chips determines how hot the water can get. If the max for the chip is 70 degrees, then that is the maximum temperature of the water. 70 degrees is too hot for a home, 50-60 degrees is typical. The chips don't need to be immersed, though they would probably be more efficient if they were. The real issue is how quickly the miner could heat the water.

It is the same as it was previously with another great invention in this field: "bitcoin mining light bulb". People were fascinated by it at first, and captured by the possibilities of mining every time light is lit.
And after some time project was abandoned (or so I heard) and everyone is back to standard bitcoin mining. I think this time it will be the same.

Good to see how he professional made it look, but I have been warming my house through looping at my overclocked C1 for a long time now, not new and I think many did this.

Let's be positive about this. I think most people want to get back to solo mining, if it could be made profitable in some way. The utilization of the heat generated from mining and the cost saving derived from this operation, could just be the answer to making solo mining profitable again.

We all need to find innovative ways to join technology to reduce the environmental impact Bitcoin mining have on this planet. If this heat was used and not wasted, people would be saving electricity and energy they would have used on a heating bill.
