This is a random idea I had for a foundation named after the founder of bitcoin that awards a prize each year for outstanding contribution in the field of mathematics, including cryptography of course. The Satoshi Prize could become as prestigious as the  Nobel prize in future with winners awarded bitcoins. I doubt the nobel committee will hand them out anytime soon.

There could be a gala event for the announcement much like the oscars

Look into it before posting.
The Nobel prize for instance was formed in Alfred Nobels will as a vehicle for benefiting humanity using all his money derived from selling explosives.
Unless they behave like an investment fund their money's not likely to go very far.

The foundation's a great idea but I don't see any members of the community likely to step up with a fortune.
