Physical Bitcoin Problems

So I recently came into possession of multiple Casascius Physical Bitcoins. Print 2012.  I understand the 2 part key system to a degree and how SHA-256 works enough to transfer the 8 digit key on the coin to a hash. I did a good bit of research and understand bitcoin a decent amount but I do not want to mess anything up. So really I am asking for someone to help guide me in what programs and sites i should use to get both keys and redeem the coins to my wallet. I have a wallet on Coinbase but if I need a new one I don't mind. And yes the hologram back isnt tampered with on any of my coins. Help is appreciated.

Just checking here: are you aware that they are worth more than the bitcoin on them as long as they are unredeemed?

I have seen them go for 3 and more btc on auctions (having 1 btc on them).

DO NOT OPEN THEM seriously shorena is giving you the best advice you could have.  If they are not redeemed you just got very lucky if you bought for the face value, there is a big collector market for them.

If they look like good quality look into the graded ones.  There are 2 main companies that do it.   But if you have a high grade coin it goes up even more.   So really your very lucky.  If I got one unredeemed I would get it graded then go to btc market on here.  Or if it appears not to have decent grade go straight to forum and not waste money on grading.

for 1 btc on the coin. I am not sure if they go for 3x
as I am not a collector but PM me if you interested in

They have been going up.   I wish I would have invested heavily on them.  But a lot of it is condition. 

We don't know if coin has been sitting in a jar or if in a nice plastic case.   If quality is good the grade makes all the difference.  If he thinks it looks pretty good I would suggest him get it graded before selling.  It could mean a lot more money.  But if looks beat up yes selling without grade and just pics chances are is the way to go.
