Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

I am in US only Europe one I used was - https://www.bitshopper.de/ .  It was to get a Europe compac model. It was a nice addition to my collections.

One thing to keep in mind is when you look at Europe resellers the Vat/Import tax is pretty high so miners sell for higher.  One thing you might look into is hosting center somewhere without the vat unless you have a extremely cheap or "free" electricity plan.

A 20 percent or so vat can make it hard to ROI in some cases.

Thanks for your reply. I have free electricity, so that isnt my problem. ¨

EDIT: seems like most of their products are out of stock.

It's not a bad miner at all I have had good luck with my S5+.  - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1157426.0

I would check what is your source off "free" electricity? Is it parents? Or more like apartment with set amount?  I just have highly different advice depending on situation.

Here is link to Finnish seller. I just bought used S5's from him @150€/unit. And I have bought some miners earlier from him, always got what I paid for. I have no clue where he gets them, he says that he has straight connections to factories.

Not worth the investment at all, the 20% VAT is a lot and you would not ROI even if you have free electricity. Don't forget the bitcoin halving is coming soon too.

Having is a way's off in mining terms, but yes it is coming.  But i still dont consider it to be "soon".  We wil get to a point it is though.

OP is in a unique position.  As he has "free" electricity paying the VAT might be best thing, its either that or pay power at hosting somewhere.  But if he mines for free power and eventually sells it the miner prices are normally higher in Europe so he could come out decent on it.  All depends on some things we cant speculate that far on.

What is your company?  I don't see any mention of it in your posts or in profile.

OP if your reading still I might suggest escrow in this case.  Or actually most cases escrow is good unless very well known legiit store.

Living in the US you shoundn't have to pay for the european taxes. In fact, it is your local US authorities who might decide to tax your parcel. That beeing said i heard that under a certain value (pretty high, but don't remember exactly), no customs duty/taxes are asked to us citizens.

Jeff.
