MAJOR UPDATE
Cyrus (moderator) has explained that threads WITHOUT SITES are to be reported, and will be removed by mods. The investor board is going to have stickied rules soon.

OP:
I think enough is enough. The board needs to be cleaned, it is being spammed with scams by newbies trying to get a quick buck simply by posting a thread with a crap story, and no website or extra info, and a simple address to collect funds.

I've added a poll, anyone who agrees that these type of threads should not be allowed and that only websites should be allowed to be posted here, I've added the option on the poll.

Feel free to post opinions

I think we should also adapt this rule:
"All thread titles must include site URL and Site name"

like most HYIP forums.

Hi ry,

I disagree with your position and if you feel uncomfortable about  a post you can simply report it. My forum based investments have been paying for over a month and this is an unfair generalization.

Thx.

I know you disagree because you are an operator yourself, who constantly advertises in other peoples threads, therefor your opinion is biased.

Idiot, as an investor your opinion is also biased and in the end your boycott will eventually end up with the scams filling this forum like it already does.

Out of all of the investor based games, you are one in a hundred that is currently paying. Don't call me an idiot just because you don't like what you are hearing.

Just hit "Report to Moderator" and let the Moderator's and Staffs weigh in if indeed the thread needs to be removed or taken down. I agree that there's a lot of new user's here who wan't to make this forum a money making machine by simply posting their BTC address and promise the heaven and earth, but it's not only the newbies who does that, anyone can buy an old account to look more reputable and again promise heaven and earth.
So bottom line just hit "Report to Moderator" and move on.

EDIT: I think this should be in Meta

Currently, this is not a rule, hence this poll.

People, please stay polite.

And the forum rule say: "moderators do not remove likely scams. You must use your own brain: caveat emptor. Do not gamble more than you can afford to lose."

That's the point.

Are you not able to inform yourself and to recognize potential scams, you are here anyway wrong.

If you don't like it the way it is, move to the 'most other HYIP Forums'.

that is regarding hyip as a whole, not forum based games. sites that were simply an address posted used to be strictly enforced, now it is slacked off.

Sadly I don't think this will be implented. I think its a good idea. I would agree with it. BUT

"Additionally, moderators do not remove likely scams."

I think there is a difference between a LIKELY scam and someone posting an address claiming to take investments, don't you?

I dont think anyone who is too lazy to make a website to announce their service deserves any attention at at. The bad side is even if they did pruchase a website and hosting it doesnt make their "game" any safer.

Bottom line is nothing will be done about these users who post the shit scams. The forum doesnt moderate scams. All we can do as users is neg rep those accts outright ignore those threads and report the posts to moderators

Whether the scam is likely or not, the post is not removed. What that means is 'Scams are not moderated'.

While I can see where you are coming from, there is no need for them to post a website. If Investor Based Games were a sub-board in the Service Announcement board perhaps, however since it's located in Games and Rounds, there is no need for a website to be present. The forum doesn't (and shouldn't) have to hold users' hands to stop them from getting scammed. People need to just start using their brains to decide from themselves if a service looks shady or not.

We went through a lot of Meta posts to get that Investor-Based board. I don't think admins have any plans to remove Ponzis from the site. There are warnings displayed all over regarding how dangerous the "investments" are and you basically have to go looking for it. After all the news about Ponzis and how Joshua Garza got busted, if people are still willing to dump their money in those schemes , they deserve what they get at this point.

I agree with this. Forum based games are mostly trash, and should not be allowed with the other web-site based - serious games/programs.
