Can I use a BTC miner in order to mine other coins such as BCN?  I like the miners for the BTC, but they are just to slow to make a profit in my opinion, so I figured I might buy one for the purpose of mining some other type of coin.  I have done some basic research and it seems like there are no real sure answers that make sense to me, so please dumb it down for me.  Thanks for the advise.

You can use GPU to mine them. Both AMD and nVidia GPU can. Claymore has a fast GPU miner version.
