And yeah, I think the greater amount of BTC someone hold, the more they refuse to post their actual amount here, though I don't know why. Its not like someone can stole your btc only by knowing how many you hold right now, right?

Not only that. Recently, the tax authorities have begun to scrutinize the larger Bitcoin transactions (especially in the United States and Russia). A few of the US-based users are already facing imprisonment on tax evasion and money laundering charges. So if you are having a large number of coins, the best thing to do is to keep quiet.

I know its a little bit out of topic but err... we need to pay tax for bitcoin? I thought btc is decentralized, if we have to pay tax, then to where do the tax paid to?

I like threads like these. It gives me a different perspective of the forum itself, and the views and interactions I have here.

No. Today this equals around $500. ^^ His bitcoins wouldn't have transformed into more bitcoins unless he had sold and bought back in.

Your local tax man? Just because 'it's on the internet' doesn't mean it's somehow magically tax free. If that was the case each coin would worth a few million a piece and the entire planet would collapse when everyone piled in and there was no tax revenue.

I once had about 200, but I sold most of it and re-invested it into something else, when the price reached $800. I had my doubts about Bitcoin when it spiked to $1000. I am getting lower returns on my other investments, but I am riding out the storm and looking at the directions this whole Core / XT thing are going.

I still have a few bitcoins left, because I love the technology and I should still make a nice profit from that, if it goes to the moon. Those coins are all stashed away in paper wallets. ^hmf^

I can not be able to disclose the exact amount of bitcoins I have to date but all I can say is I have a good number. The worth i have when it comes to the coins can buy several houses and apartments within my area. I have been working tirelessly on the coins and my target is to make enough money for me to invest in real estates as my second source of income. Will be giving you details when I soon hit the target.

Those are most stupidest sort of threads in my opinion. No one sane would not answer that cind of questions if he have noticeable amount. I wonder what could be reason for so much of threads like that and for threads like "i have x coins, will i be rich?".

I had about 22.632 bitcoin a week ago, and I was planning to hodl for a while. My friends wanted me to Gamble, so, buckling under the weight of the peer pressure, I gave in. I gambled 22 BTC on primedice, on an 85% win chance, and guess what? I lost. What are the odds? (15%)

Ugh. Now I have 0.632 bitcoin to live off of... Might be just enough to pay off my internet bills xD
