Hi,

There has been a DDOS attack on the pool today.
There was ~4-5 hours of downtime.

Everything is working fine now. Smiley

If anyone faces any issues please let me know.

Regards

Recently I noticed users entering their email address in the bitcoin address field on the my account page which causes their payment to fail.
I will be adding some extra checking this week so users will be notified if their address is invalid.

Something possibly dodgy going on.

Received a message about btcoxygen.com abouts but the link is to btc-oxygen.com

The PPS rate on the front page is different.
The stats tables are different
The facebook/twitter links at the bottom are different (dodgy one links to http://bitcoin-talk.org/stats.php/btcoxygen#)

Message came from the right bitcointalk account though.

I got one of those myself --- looks like this guys forum account is compromised... I can't imagine why someone would goto the trouble... it's not like there's a manual payout on the site anyway =P

Yah - not sure what the game here is - but I have a feeling this is an exit strategy of some sort.

Guess we'll have to wait and see.

It also has links to a site bitcoin-talk (.org)  looks like another phishing attempt. Very interesting.

Thanks John, Also there is one last phishing link on my sig.
I am working with Theymos to resolve the issue.
We seem to have found how the hacker got in the second time and Theymos is pushing in a fix now.

BitcoinOxygen, I've asked for the change password button before, and it's not implemented up to now.  Will you finally implement it?  That is probably the second most important missing feature of your site (next to manual payout).

Butterfly Labs has a different interpretation of the FTC Mail Order Rule.  You do not have a refund option with the BFL Monarch no matter how late they ship.

Hi BTCscraper,

I think I will push Manual Payout for another day since auto payments are working fine now.

I am working on Address Lock so even if your account is hacked your coins will remain safe.
Also I am working on password reset with locked email so the hacker cannot change the email even if your account is hacked.

Erm, no they're not. I've stopped mining until my auto payment gets put through. I'm getting worried that I may have wasted a week of mining time. At least it was only a fraction of my mining, as I'm balanced across allot of pools to find the best rates. I sent a pm to BTCOxygen over the weekend, but no answer as yet. Hacked again perhaps? What's going on?

The rates were really good and I was considering committing all my mining power to btoxygen, but then my first auto payment failed.

yep, definitely a scam of some sort has been going on. I was a fool to think that it was a genuine bug in the auto-paying code. It's obviously something else that he pool owner doesn't want to admit to, as it would probably end his customer base. Not paying is a pretty sure way to end the customer base to though!

I managed to get in touch with btcoxyen yesterday. He said he would look into it in '20 minutes' then never got back to me. This morning I tried him again, and he has yet to give an explanation, or confirmation that he's sent the BTC that I'm owed. This lack of transparency makes me reluctantly accept that this pool is scamming, whether by malice or incompetence, but nonetheless, scamming.

DON'T MINE WITH THIS POOL!

micalith, please refer to my post #321 in this thread.

Yes, that's reasonable. What's really eating me is that I've still not been paid after nearly 2 weeks. It's only a fraction of a bitcoin, but I'm extra furious because I'm convinced that I've basically been robbed. He's surely scamming, trying to get away with paying just enough people to make it look like incompetence. I'm just not one of those lucky people

On the IRC, after failing to fix anything as promised the night before, and failing to give any explanation, he responded to my nagging requests for attention with 'Hi', then never responded to my reply to that for the rest of the day. Piss taker!

@micalith : I replied to you on IRC few days ago, "<BTCOxygen> You have a invalid addess in place, Please enter a valid address and let me know.", You saw you quit IRC after that.
I looked through the logs and still you have the same Invalid address.
