Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Cute graphic, but I think the price will not continue its rise like that, it will be something like _—¯—————_————¯¯———_— until mid-2016 then I could share the same opinion.
btw 400$ reached on bitfinex few minutes ago.

I think we are going to keep seeing big ups and downs until around june 2016 after the hashing, we will see a very solid uptrend and we will demolish the last ATH.
