Im planning to buy stuffs from amazon using a gift card I got from a friend. Im just worried if the gift card is not legit so I want to know if the gift card was obtained illegaly and I used it to buy a thing on amazon, will I get on trouble?
Im confused right now, whether I use that gift card or I'll just abandon it. Any advices?
Ask for the receipt... For maximum security just throw it in the trash and forget about it.

That's the point, you don't know if it was
good money or stolen money. It's kind of weird you're even asking this question - you'd know a "real" friend in real life and should know they wouldn't send you stolen giftcards. Yes, if it was created using a fraudulent credit card they will find out when it's reported and guess where they end up? At your door.
