We are going to be trialing a new concept in crypto.

A crypto coin backed coupon - CoinPon

CoinPon are scannable coupons/adverts on the back of physical till receipts.
They will promote
MonetaryUnit
the physical stores using CoinPon
and also there will be an advertisers slot to generate revenue.

This is about getting crypto into the hands and pockets of real people, through a network of real physical stores, driving demand for these discount coupons when used in conjunction with paying in MUE.

These are early days, we've got a lot to learn and a long way to go, but this is how we can drive real world adoption beyond this very niche crypto world we all live in, where every project is trying to get the attention of this small crypto community.

Real world usage.
Real world new users.
Real world benefits.

And, the thing people want to see, this should be reflected in the continuing, sustainable and growing increase in price.

First printed batch of 50 rolls of till receipt with interactive QR code adverts on the reverse are due from the printers any day.
We expect the trial period to last only a week or two as we have secured among other retailers, a high volume retailer who alone can consume 3-5 till rolls per day

The plan is to complete the trial period, analyse the data, proceed with a larger roll out, obtain paying advertisers, then secure funding for our own in house printer using a crowd funding platform, likely StartJoin.

We have appointed our printer, and the first order of a case of 50 rolls will be going in later today.

I will create an official ANN thread once we have completed this trial run.

As CoinPon is a discount coupon backed by MUE, potential advertisers should note we will offer a 25% discount off the list price when you pay in MUE

This is a very exciting project, and we hope to bring crypto to NEW people, increase exposure of MUE, and of course have this reflected in the price of MonetaryUnit.

There are basically two options in crypto.
1) Spend months/years embroiled in the quagmire that is trying to get attention from the very limited crypto market.

or

2) Break the mould.
Create a market.
Create real world use for your coin.
Get it into the hands of new, non-crypto people.
Tread the sidewalks, get dirty and sweaty getting it into the hands and pockets of people so they can use in the real world, for real world discounts.
Give them a reason to want to use crypto, in an easy way.
Educate your retailers to use, buy, sell and most importantly ACCEPT crypto.
Get more customers into your retailers, and get your customers more savings.
Retailers buy MUE, customers buy MUE, word spreads, usage increases, price increases.
