Morning Bitcoiners!

We’re very pleased to welcome Alex Waters to our team here in NYC. Alex joins as a developer and QA specialist to help BitInstant build out more advanced software infrastructure in the US and globally.

If the name sounds familiar, it’s because Alex has developed for the Bitcoin dev team, working alongside Gavin and others. Now we’ve stolen him!

As BitInstant continues to grow, we’re very fortunate to find such talent as Alex and we’re excited for the results of his hard work to start appearing in the Bitcoin ecosystem over the coming weeks and months.

The team now includes five full-time team members at our NY office (Charlie, Erik, Ira, Rachel, and Alex), Peter in New Jersey (part-time), Sir Gareth of Wales, Roger Ver (ie Bitcoin Jesus) in Tokyo, Patrick Murck as the head of Legal Affairs in Seattle, and a couple other retained lawyers scattered around the US.

Also, we're still looking for another talented developer in the NYC area (Python-focused) so if you know someone, please send a PM. And there's more growth to come!

Thanks!

Charlie, and the team

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

I'm honored to join the Bitinstant team. It is a pleasure to be surrounded by the many brilliant, friendly, and interesting individuals who make up the Bitcoin community.

I am also very excited to focus on programming, and to help the community as much as possible. We are so lucky to be involved in a technology as awesome and profound as Bitcoin.

Cheers to all the Bitcoiners out there who are making this possibility a reality.

Is there any chance you're going to help finish the bitcoinwireless.com site?

Thats EXACTLY what he has been working on the past week.

He already found and patches a few bugs we would have launched with!

Thanks Alex
