How accurate is their grading system? According to their website CGS 97-100 equals MS-70. If that is true you should get that brass coin graded by ANACS. You'd be the only one to have a MS-70 brass coin Grin.

Hi thanks for your reply bud,  i don't know to be truly honest.

cgs have graded 8 of the brass coins & its the finest grade they have seen.

I haven't even seen a ms68 brass 2013, so it's tip top even with a low estimate.

Monkeynuts told me the following (hope he doesn't mind me quoting him)....

"FYI, I have cross graded a few coins from CGS to ANACS (they were silver 0.1s)
CGS 98, went to ANACS 69
CGS 97 and 96, went to ANACS 68

So those 2013 brass are in pretty good shape!"

I think it was only after the defcon crack when Mike started lasering the hologram.

That's pretty good! Highest brass 2013 I've seen was MS-66. Good luck selling those. Probably won't take you long Grin.

I recently acquired an ANACS MS 68 Brass Single and 2 x MS67's.

These coins offered for sale by zac2013 look mighty nice.  Do you have a price in mind for the gilt silver?

I had forgotten about that!  That makes me more interested in this coin now.

I have coins from roll 1Ag1-C (first batch, third roll) ordered July 12, 2013, and they all had lasered holos.

Curious that a 1Ag4 coin loaded November 8, 2013 would have a non-lasered edge.

If it was ordered via HardBTC, it may have been made by Mike and shipped to HardBTC earlier, but not funded by Mike until actually resold by HardBTC.

So .... would have had the original unlasered finish, but got a slightly later funding date. Thats my best guess. Potentially could have been the same for other resellers as well (and the steelboy group buy).

I am interested in the Silver/Gold, but I would be cracking that slab and sending to ANACS. My offer is 3BTC shipped to the USA.

To the OP, when did you have your coins graded? I'm curious how long CGS has been grading these coins, to my knowledge this would be a very new development. CGS has a greater cache in the numismatic grading market than ANACS.

According to their website CGS was founded in 2006 and they have graded over 25,000 coins.

Close up of the hologram, will try and add  better pic / video if it brightens up a bit today  Roll Eyes

My two other coins of the same type have the standard mottled edge hologram, let me know if anyone wants the pictures of those.
