Hello!

Why do people run faucetlist? Is it profitable these days or is for another purpose, referral for example?

It is for referral income ofcourse. It's not profitable but it is fun! See this one or this one. My income out of referrals is about $1-2/day. Provider and electricity for my website and PC cost more.

Yes, that is hard. Sometimes i use advertising for example at Coinad or the 777bitco websites but that is expensive: 300-400satoshi/view You can also place a banner that is cheaper but the returns are also smaller.
