Donald Trump has vowed to continue his US presidential campaign amid widespread criticism of his latest remarks on Muslims. Trump, the leading candidate for the Republican Party's nomination, called for a blanket ban on Muslims entering the US in the wake of the deadly shootings in San Bernardino, California last week.

The comments drew global condemnation, with UK Prime Minister David Cameron describing them as "divisive, unhelpful and quite simply wrong". But Trump told the Washington Post he would never back out of the presidential race. The primaries to choose the Republican party's nominee open in six weeks.

A recent poll found that 35% of Americans are republicans, 35% are democrates, and 30% are independents. The Donald has the support of 25% of republicans. One-quarter of 35% is about 8.5% of Americans. Yet, Trump supporters scream that he will be president. Are they delusional or stupid? One poll found that 80% of Trump supporters are high school graduates or high school dropouts, so I think stupid rather than delusional. He leads the poor white trash and they think they will take the presidency. Yawn.

That's only logic. Considering the millions he has already spent in his campaign, it would be stupid to leave now. When you play poker, you don't leave the table in the middle of a game. He will stay up to the end. You win or lose everything, but giving up isn't an option.

I used to be a citizen and a taxpayer. Those days are long gone.

Most of the opinion polls for a hypothetical Clinton vs Trump scenario in 2016 shows that Clinton is leading Trump by a mere 2% or 3% of the votes. In the end, it will come down to how successful the Pinocchibitch is, in mobilizing her ghetto supporters. Trump is polling well above 45% in all these polls, and that is much more than 8.5%.

I guess he is just running as a comedian. The problem is that there are some retarded fellows who think he is funny. However, not funny enough to win!

It would be unethical if someone were to kidnap Donald Trump and kill him slowly on camera.

Everyone was expecting that Trump's support levels would go down as a result of the latest anti-Muslim controversy. But the exact opposite seems to have happened. Trump is now leading the GOP primary race with 35%, with two other anti-establishment candidates in the 2nd and 3rd positions (Cruz - 16%, Carson - 13%). The pro-establishment candidates are getting whacked, especially Rubio and Bush.

And in Georgia, last month Carson was leading Trump by 2% (26% to 24%), but now Trump is leading Cruz by a massive 27% lead (43% to 16%).

Anyone in favor of a Trump-Cruz candidature? (Trump for POTUS and Cruz for VP).

It'd be especially terrible if someone were to cut little pieces of flesh away from Trump - you know, fingers and things - and mail them to other powerful capitalists as a message, so they know what fate that awaits them come revolution.

Seriously though, don't do that. It's not very nice to cut people up into pieces while keeping them alive for weeks or months, all on camera. Very naughty indeed.

He seems like an honest person. American people should give him a chance. There are too many politicians in American politics.

Exactly. Trump is very honest, especially considering that a serial liar is on the other side (Hillary Clinton). Media has been attacking him since the day he launched his presidential campaign. Also, he is self-financing his campaign, unlike Billary who has taken grants from the Saudi and Qatari sheikhs to steamroll her campaign.

People that don't understand Trump are likely mostly people that don't understand business thinking methods.  That's all most of his ideas stem from.  He's not projecting ideas from a philosophical or feel good basis.  Just practical concepts that are actionable.

I hear a lot of people who say they are voting for Trump. A surprising number actually. They don't even care what the others have to say.

I'm sure that he never will quit US presidential race.
Why?
Because I think he enjoy to be controversial man, media star.
He enjoy this popularity and all probably also enjoy to listen all reactions after his public speeches.
Without media he will have no power.
We made him so powerful.

According to the opinion polls, somewhere between 40% and 45% of the voters intend to vote for Trump if the POTUS 2016 choice is between him and Hillary. That is a LOT of people. The important thing here is that Hillary has been losing support ever since she launched her campaign, while Trump has seen his support levels going up slowly, but consistently.

Really Hillary is a loser of a candidate.

No matter how much lipstick you put on that pig....

Trump will get both Trump votes and anti-Hillary votes.

What more does one need?

It can go both ways. Hillary might get the anti-Trump vote (from Muslims, Hispanics.etc). Anyway most of them vote Democrat so I doubt how much effect that will be having. That said, Hillary has a dedicated vote-bank amounting for at least one-fourth of the population (African-Americans, Radical feminists, LGBT, Jews.etc).
