Satoshi Nakamoto nominated for the acm AM Turing Award

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxbNm-Ay67g&feature=share

The ACM A.M. Turing Award is an annual prize given by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) to "an individual selected for contributions of a technical nature made to the computing community". It is stipulated that "The contributions should be of lasting and major technical importance to the computer field".[2] The Turing Award is generally recognized as the highest distinction in computer science[3][4] and the "Nobel Prize of computing".[5][6]

He should win this, and not only this but the actual normal nobel prize, but im pretty sure that the nobel prize is manipulated and there are agendas that choose who has to get that price, im sure this turing award one is more legit. In any case i hope that satoshi never reveals him/her self to receive a prize, or for anything really.

would be good if this happens.. the creator receiving a Nobel Prize will certainly get bitcoin more attention. on the other hand, I don't know if the people behind the scene will just allow that to happen.

Exactly this, i didn't know how important is for us that satoshi win the Nobel Prize or not but instead of that, this will help to bitcoin to gain more attention. Lets see what finally happened but i doubt to that they will allow it, i mean that satoshi win this prize Wink even if he deserved it 200%.

I find that it is a great accomplished for Bitcoin, but I'm afraid that it could bring a wave of fake Satoshi that could try to claim the price illegally. Also, I hope that the price, if it includes money, won't be given to the Bitcoin Foundation, since this is a total waste of money. So I think that maybe it will be given to honorifically to Satoshi but never really, and I think this is the best way it could be.

Would bring more attention to Bitcoin which I personally see as only a positive light.

But it may as someone else commented lead to an influx of impostor Satoshi's, although with the majority of the Bitcoin community willing to investigate into these claims, it's likely going to be very difficult to disguise oneself as Satoshi.

Would be great to know if Satoshi would win this one and send another message to us to say thanks to everybody. That could again hit the news and get all eyes watching on bitcoin. Btw just a quick question: how would one body award its recognition to someone who isn't even fully recognized by all, or even a few at least?

How can you give an award to someone that nobody ever saw?

they award his name with the job he has done, i don't thin it's necessary to see him in the face

still not reported in the wiki list https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turing_Award
