The next big wave of new users will begin pouring in at above $1000. Until then, we mostly on our own.

i mostly agree with this, this is still the accumulation phase, the true rally will begin above the ath or around that value
also i don't care about what will happen now, those p&d count really nothing to me aunless you want to profit with day trading

If we can get a stable 1000 with no crazy dumps dropping it lower then it should only be a matter of time till it goes skyrocketing.

I have said for two years that anything below 1000 is cheap. I still stand by it.

Course you do. Your average buy in price is after all $800.

True, people are like sheep and most average joes can't look beyond a price tag to get excited about something. While we understand the technology and are here long term no matter what price Bitcoin is at, the average person will excited about Bitcoin when they realize it is "back from the dead and beyond" once we reach and pass the last ATH again, hopefully then they will start getting interested in the actual Bitcoin tech.

I'm good for now. Price right now doesn't matter much to me. I still see potential in bitcoins as far as growing in value goes. I'm not using my bitcoins for now either, just saving them up.

Screw that, as long as they throw money at us who cares what their interest is.

I actually can't wait for bitcoin to hit $1000 again. I do believe more people will get interested into bitcoin once they notice the potential. If it does hit $1000 I'm also hoping for bitcoin to stay there for at least a month or so.

I agree with you on this one. People will start to believe in bitcoin when they see an actual growth in bitcoin. If we hit $1000 again, and it will stay around that and stay stable, or even go higher, that's when we could convince more people that bitcoin has so much potential in growth and value.

The media effect when Bitcoin is reaching $1000 again will definitely help. Maybe that they see that there is indeed a legit use for it, and that not only criminals are using it. Every current price is a joke compared to the long term price.

I wouldn't call it a hype cycle. Bitcoin is experiencing a higher degree of acceptance among people, companies and even governments every year. At the moment I would think the next step wouldbe at 5000 $ the next two or three years.

There is no way this cycle is going to happen.
The current cycle is just hyping going on. No way we will see a 1k value anytime soon. This time bitcoin's price won't be overhyped like it happened in 2013.

BTC has the bad habit of always leaving behind their old ATH by at least 1 order of magnitude.
This is indeed just a warm-up

They also said bit coin never goes below it's old all time high. That didn't work out so well for anyone banking on it. Going above 1000 and settling there is a big task. It's gonna take a while.

Who said that? The person who said that is a noob. The old ATH was a great pump and was never meant to last long. All people who where witness of this pump back in 2013 will agree with that. It was a perfect moment for traders to sell the coins that they bought for $100-$200 for +$1000. I am sure we will go over $1000 again, but it costs time. If we do it slowly, then the chances of staying above $1000 are significantly higher this time. Plus there is also the block halving. That will definitely help. Patience is the key. Use the time you have to scoop up more coins in order to benefit at the highest level.
