There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

That's what i thought about too. For research purposes like this one, i would rather create a site where people would add their addresses, verified by
signing them. That way you could set refresh interval and monitor balances in real time, and you would be certain about your data.
As it is now, anyone can say they have 1btc+, and there's no way to know if it's indeed true.

Most people dont lie, some do, but most dont.

Otherwise the whole concept of survey would be meaningless, which is not.

That is why we need many people answering it.

You should have also taken into account the subcategories of people with more than 1BTC. There are many who hold more then 100BTC and some who are in the range of 1 to 10. You survey would have been more accurate if you would have created more sections after the 1BTC slot(that would have made more sense than surveying people who are holding millibits).

I dont care about that, I only care about people who hold between 0-1 because that measures the holdings of most people.

Well its a quick and easy way to make a whole bitcoin with gambling or betting but its a risky move, not recommended by most. Just hold and save your earned bitcoin and keep on earning more, then as time goes by , you'll be surprised your balance was more than what you expect Cheesy
