Hi All,

Hopefully someone can help me, I've got no idea what's going on. On the 18th of november I've made two transactions from
1HkhhzE1i7Ka1Pp25phM8BnQLgtUVnNunu to 13zNdFWUb8JebePmBVBzCFEKTGHjZQznvD. First one was successfull, second transaction something strange happened. Transaction details below:

Status: 0/onbevestigd
Datum: 18-11-2015 17:11
Aan: Lukt niet... 13zNdFWUb8JebePmBVBzCFEKTGHjZQznvD
Debet: -1.3237896 BTC
Transactiekosten: -0.0005 BTC
Netto bedrag: -1.3242896 BTC
Transactie-ID:: f0edf762b498f8f129a26469e5f341188b0d520176e4499234a9fe6ee7d5bdf4

I received on the 29th of november message that the bitcoins were received in my online wallet 13zNdFWUb8JebePmBVBzCFEKTGHjZQznvD from 18hqhj58ouipyNiNFSmNXKY8ugrx8Ewm8K
On the 1th of december another message that the transaction failed and the bitcoins were sent back.
Now the bitcoins are still on 18hqhj58ouipyNiNFSmNXKY8ugrx8Ewm8K.

Can someone help me or explain what's going on?

  • On 2013-06-09 at 10:37:53 UTC 0.13133872 BTC were received at address 1HkhhzE1i7Ka1Pp25phM8BnQLgtUVnNunu (see transaction here)
  • On 2013-06-09 at 11:46:59 UTC 6.70793023 BTC were received at address 1HkhhzE1i7Ka1Pp25phM8BnQLgtUVnNunu (see transaction here)
  • On 2013-10-16 at 18:35:33 UTC both of those previously received outputs were spent together in a transaction that sent the entire 6.83926895 BTC balance to address 1LJnLUuKEg7mR3GrJmzUMJVF97caJ3u9EV (see transaction here)
  • On 2013-10-16 at 19:57:23 those 6.83926895 BTC were spent (see transaction here)
  • On 2014-04-16 at 13:07:16 UTC 1.34428962 BTC were received at address 1HkhhzE1i7Ka1Pp25phM8BnQLgtUVnNunu (see transaction here)
  • On 2015-11-18 at 15:55:53 UTC this 1.34428962 BTC outputs was spent in a transaction that sent 1.32428962 BTC to address 18hqhj58ouipyNiNFSmNXKY8ugrx8Ewm8K and sent the remaining balance of 0.02 BTC to address 13zNdFWUb8JebePmBVBzCFEKTGHjZQznvD (see transaction here)

Therefore:

  • Address 1HkhhzE1i7Ka1Pp25phM8BnQLgtUVnNunu now has a balance of 0 BTC (all bitcoins received at that address have been spent)
  • Address 1LJnLUuKEg7mR3GrJmzUMJVF97caJ3u9EV now has a balance of 0 BTC (all bitcoins received at that address have been spent)
  • Address 18hqhj58ouipyNiNFSmNXKY8ugrx8Ewm8K now has a balance of 1.32428962 BTC confirmed in block 384179 on 2015-11-18
  • Address 13zNdFWUb8JebePmBVBzCFEKTGHjZQznvD now has a balance of 0.02 BTC confirmed in block 384179 on 2015-11-18

It appears that the transaction you have indicated (f0edf762b498f8f129a26469e5f341188b0d520176e4499234a9fe6ee7d5bdf4) was trying to spend the 1.32428962 BTC balance that was received at 18hqhj58ouipyNiNFSmNXKY8ugrx8Ewm8K.  That transaction never seems to have been confirmed (and depending on the wallet you are using perhaps was never broadcast to the network for some reason).  If it was broadcast, then most of the nodes on the network will have forgotten about the transaction if it didn't confirm in a timely manner.  You can either re-broadcast that transaction or create a new one.

18hqhj58ouipyNiNFSmNXKY8ugrx8Ewm8K is one of your change addresss. As Danny said above, the transaction spending the change from that address did not confirm and was dropped from the network.

Thank you for looking into it! How should I get the Bitcoins back in my wallet from the change address? Deleting the transaction in my wallet? I'm using an offline wallet, bitcoin-qt.

Change addresses are already in your wallet. You can spend directly from them, you own those addresses. There is nothing you need to do to spend from those addresses.
