Russian Ministry of Finance seeks to ban bitcoin-to-ruble transactions
All conversions between cryptocurrencies and the ruble should be regarded as illegal exchange transactions, the ministry believes.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Total idiot... It's like saying... We do not want capital from other countries flowing into our country. Who does that? This is how countries like Spain and Sweden will leap ahead in

the progress towards a "Bitcoin friendly" country. It will create more jobs and it will pull in loads of tourism income from other countries. Protecting the Ruble is stupid, because the

advantage of doing that is tiny in comparison to the advantages of embracing it.  Angry

Russia has never been a Bitcoin friendly country. They always threaten with bans and nonsense policies to push back Bitcoin. At least, that's what they are trying. Let them do whatever they want, Bitcoin usage will stay active in Russia whether they like it or not  Cheesy
