BTC wallet Linux installation - how to?

Hi guys! I am quite new in Linux and dont know how to install official wallet.
The full node client is downloaded from here:
https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

64 bit Linux Mint. Then unpacked in the separate folder. What is next? how to install it? No executable files are detectable.

 wallet is running now, but it is very unclear sitruation. e.g. how to make a link to the desktop?

You can create a shell script with the command you need to run Bitcoin core and then save that to the desktop. Every time you want to start bitcoin, just run that script.
