I prefer 1 btc as a unit because I find it the easiest to understand and calculate on the go.

Millies

I've done a lot of travelling, been in places for both short and long times. I always find some quick way to convert the local fiat to something I'm used to.
Here, it's USD

I look at prices in USD, double it and I've got millies approximately.
Vice versa works too, of course.
For most of this year the multiplier was higher tho.

Easy...

millies have confused me a couple of times now. Somehow the bitcoin measures got stuck in my head and I cannot stand looking at 100 mBTC for instance (shame on me, I work with those type of measures every day..)

I think i'll just need to invest a couple of mins to get used to the way it is put. As with increasing value, I think mBTC will become more and more common.

I really like BTC. Even if the numbers are ugly, like 0.003254 BTC, i still prefer this. I dont like all the 700mBTC and 920 Satoshis...

For me I like mBTC or BTC they are both good and nice to see the number of bitcoin.
The most people will go for BTC, because is easy to understand. For people is starting with bitcoins satoshi is also good to know.

For me it's BTC or satoshi. Satoshi because I started out with faucets and it was very easy for me to understand. Bitcoin because of obvious reasons. It's easy to compare it fiat and such. Also easy to convert, well actually since the price keeps rising I do have to keep up with the market prices.

I use units in context as well, Satoshis for very small values (faucets as well), and Bitcoins for others more valuable cases - even though most of the time it starts with zero point something - I got used to it pretty soon. The most important when using Satoshis is knowing 100 million Satoshis = 1 Bitcoin.

The pool should allow multi choice imo...

I dislike sites that use bits, mbits. Why can't they just stick to the  standard BTC or BTC nomenclature? There must be a standardization soon. Where is the Bitcoin foundation when we need them?

Same with me. We as faucet users started with just satoshis maybe that is why we are stucked in using this kind of measurement. I still do it with satoshis. It is really a lot easier for me in that way.

I prefer BTC as well, although I am okay with mBTC and Satoshi but BTC is what I use in my wallet and it is what I use in my conversions, some people are now starting to use Bits a lot but I don't like to use it much. These are the terms I was exposed to when I started my bitcoin journey and I don't see any reasons to use newer terms.

Just use BTC, it's not that hard to calculate to your own currency tho.
If you use other than BTC, it would take a more complicated to measure the values. First you have to look how much BTC worth in your local currency, then convert the mBTC(just for example) to BTC.

yeah agree with this, for me it seems i''m dealing with other complicated things whereas i could directly convert BTC in our currency.

I tend to measure the BTC value by means of what goods / services I can get in return for BTC.

You'd be surprised, not everything is pegged to the USD, and that's how I like to price things myself. In terms of BTC.

I have chosen the Other' option cause i think "0.1" is a better unit as it is some usable amount, It could be considered as a 50$ bill/note .
1 bitcoin is quite big and smaller values are just cents. so the above one is the median and perfect i guess.

It depends on the amount and the context.

I mostly work in millibitcoins and have done since 2011:
    e.g. "34.6 mills".
If an amount is a whole number of bitcoins I'll use this:
    e.g. "4 BTC" or sometimes "4 bitcoins".
For tiny amounts such as fees I prefer microbitcoins and satoshis:
    e.g. "25 mics" or "2500 satoshis".

If the value of a bitcoin rises sufficiently, perhaps to around 10 USD/mBTC, then I'll probably rebase to mics.

Im curious about the statistics on this nowadays. Honestly I don't know if it's only me but im still used to BTC, even if it would be seen as inconvenient with small amounts, might be because I used BTC only for years. Lately I also learned dealing and managing in satoshis when I started getting small payments because of the sig campaigns. Im really slow when it comes to math so this helped me (experiencing it by using it yourself).
BTC + sat for me then, maybe BTC if I really had to choose.

Exact the same story even with me. I had and have again difficulty to perceive the real value of the amount of bitcoin I have or receive if it is not told in bitcoin. If are used mbtc, or other small units of measurement I have no idea what is the real value of that amount. Must convert it in bitcoin and then understand. Recently I am practicing in understand better those smaller units but always will be better for me if can be used bitcoin itself in expressing every kind of amount in bitcoin. Even if it will be 1 satoshi. Only in this way I can understand easily and immediately the real value of the amount in question. Compared to bitcoin itself but even compared to the other currencies.

How the fuck is 100 satoshi a bit while 0.001BTC is a millibit?

Just use mills and crows.

Mills for millibitcoin or millibit
Crows for microbitcoin or microbit. (What most people call bit now).

It's also easy to remember for people not used to using milli and micro in their daily life. A crow is much smaller than a mill.

Written down you can use mBTC and μBTC (alternate if you can't write μ is uBTC )

I prefer to use BTC as opposed to those other units of measurement, I always need to look them up when someone mentions satoshis or mBTC.
And I don't really mind seeing values like 0.01 or 0.001 BTC
