Yep, way too many people expecting $1000 bitcoin AT HALFING. The rule of thumb on bitcoin is that it NEVER goes the way you expect. I can guarantee you that ALL THOSE PEOPLE will be extremely disappointed.

I don't think so. Mining revenue is still much in these prices, so it's not gonna get that high. Maybe it'll reach 1k$ at halvening but not that soon.

Hey man, it could happen and I'm definitely holding onto what I've got.  Someone posted 4 silver eagles for sale on this forum and I was torn.  I love eagles and they were so nice, but I don't want to spend my bitcoin.  That's a horrible attitude for a currency.

I rather like to see the price aroun $500 - $600 on January that an immediate spike at $1000. I see that if the market price suddenly spike the result will be a sudden fall down so I think we should just take it slow and make it stable before the halving.

i really doubt thats going to happen, even though the price has seadily increased for the past couple weeks i dont see it almost doubling in value in a matter of 16 days. i would be really happy if it did happen tho.

$1000+ range doesn't seem impossible but I see guaranteed $500+ very soon. ($1,000 in Jan) is a pretty big estimate and the ($2,000) wow thats a pretty big jump. But, ($500) is reasonable.

If we do I have fireworks ready but that is not going to happen soon. We will see huge drop every 50$ dollar increase from 500$.

Am I too pessimistic? Or am I realist?

$1k is very possible in the January of 2017, not 2016. The bitcoin price will be around $500 in January 2016.

That's not how it works. Golds market value is about 1000x higher than Bitcoins.

I would like this to happen, but we just need to face that the reality is not always what we are dreaming for. Maybe it will go to 600 or 700 dollars but not that soon to 1000 dollars. Maybe I am wrong so just be prepared guys if something awesome happens.

I would be okay with this but I think January is a bit too soon. I could see bitcoin reach $1000 around March or April.
We'll just have to see if we can still reach $500 before the years ends, bitcoin is really close.

Not really. I think the price is currently increasing about $50 each month. Every month we see some sort of bubble, but at the end of it, the price increases. This time i think it will go to $500 and then drop to 390$. So my predictions for january are about 430 per BTC, and after the halving a little more.

I would agree with $1k sometime in 2016.But in january is too early and will not happen I think.
$2k in next is too optimistic. Reaching and holding the $1k range would be awesome for 2016!And then in 2017 we can continue climbing up.
But we all don't know what will happen and how big the halving effect this time will be.
Anyway it will be very exciting, the whole next year!

Pessimist here too. I believe that the price is going to drop due to the USD price increasing. The same goes for gold too and somehow I feel bitcoins too will face a drop in the price but still being hopeful that it doesn't reach 250 and remains stable at 300-350 a tleast.

Just be prepared if something big is coming with bitcoin, because I am sure when that price goes up, a lot of people will join bitcoin and sell it.

I think he means that he don't have that much bitcoin. Or I don't know. Yes maybe bitcoin wi ll reach 1000 dollars in 2016.
It is not that sure if it will happen so just wait and watch the sky of bitcoin.
