You hear a lot of people try to make stupid, illogical correlations between interest rates and Bitcoin, but the simple fact is, a rate hike implodes the stock market.  Instead of a constantly appreciating Mark Zuckerstein stock, you now have an imploding stock, which makes Bitcoin a far more attractive investment, especially when it's just entering into a bull market in the first place.

I thought it was the other way around. Commodities and alternative investments including bitcoin would drop for the same reason as stocks, due to more expensive lending and a stronger dollar. It's savings accounts that people would be eyeing instead of their stocks.

Bitcoin does not have a direct relation with the stock market, but it does somewhat have a relation with the dollar.

Let me know if/how I'm wrong. Here I was hoping that interest rates DONT rise.

People who make that claim assume that both stocks and Bitcoin are at peak of the market dues to excess liquidity.  The excess liquidity went ENTIRELY to stock buybacks creating a bubble.  If anything, money was likely leaving Bitcoin at this time creating a vacuum rather than bubble in this market.

Investors wish to either preserve or parlay their stock bubble earnings into further growth.  To do this, they have to leave that bubble and choose a less overbought market.  Bitcoin will be a prime target when it's upside potential is $250,000 to a $1 million a coin.

Grammatically I think "then two months before" is wrong.


But other than that, he seems to be right. I think we will see large investments soon.       

Even if most millionaires invest only 1% of their wealth into Bitcoin it would skyrocket the price to several thousands of not several hundred thousands.

I expected more instant reaction than there was, but I guess it's the middle of the night in China. In around five hours time we should find out what they make of the feds rate rise. Maybe it will go sideways for a while because the news was already priced nto the market before it was official.

Stocks naturally adjust for inflation as does a limited commodity such as Bitcoin, they do not oppose each other or act diametrically as far as I can see.  Maybe this could be said of Bonds which do react strongly to base bank rates and effective interest rates such as inflation.   I see Bond prices falling while Bitcoin rises but not so much stocks or at least not the productive industry equity, those which rely on funding may fall as debt is more costly to service
