Not all people buy bitcoins to sell them. Some buy coins to spend them.

Everyone's not a ("crazy") trading fanboy. In my case my steadily and slowly accumulated coin stash is both a retirement fund and an investment in Bitcoin itself, the blockchain and the principle of open-source peer-to-peer decentralized networks in general.

Hopefully by the time I need to sell any bitcoins, I won't have to.

I buy bitcoin as a pure speculative play, although I did spend them once.  Provident metals gives a discount for using bitcoin and I took advantage of that.  When the price is stable, it's a good currency with a lot of useful features.  When the price is nutty like in 2013 and for the past week, it's good to trade.

Almost all the bitcoin crazies from European countries people are buying bitcoin with fiat currencies. Even I have most of friends they are doing the same. But I use to buy when the rate is low and I am saving bitcoins for my future investments because this rate go to peak as satoshi predict. that time I will invest it to own wish.

Almost all of the people who buy have a lot of expectation regarding price. This seems to be good regarding price rise due to massive buy but without people actually spending bitcoin in daily transaction, the future is quite unknown. If this goes like this, in futute May be large dump and pump making people to think twice before entering into bitcoin market.

When I first entered the market, most people bought them for drugs. I was hoping to do arbitrage with all the wildly different exchange prices and the inter exchange fiat channels that still existed. That ended up not being so easy, so then I ended up getting into mining and built some GPU miners. However, eventually I ended up just becoming a daytrader. Some of the proceeds I spent the coins directly at stores like Tiger Direct, and a gold/silver investment.

I do buy bitcoins not for short term profits like selling them when hitting $1000 levels. I do see many people are buying bitcoin just for momentary benefits. My intentions are keeping bitcoin for my retirement. Then only I can get the full investment benefit of bitcoin.

I suggested one of my friend to buy at the levels of $240 some 4 bitcoins considering a round amount of $1000. But he bought only one bitcoin. Now he is regretting not following my suggestions and not buying for $2000. It's all happen. Many people just turn greedy when see some profits.

People who buy bitcoins how matters the price is. They are the person who just collect it and wait for the revolution that bitcoin grows.
Some they will trade it, for me I am just buying bitcoins so that I can buy some goodies, because the most goodies you can buy with normak money. And I am also holding it for me and for my family  if we are lucky that bitcoin grows.

Not all people buy bitcoins to sell them. Some buy coins to spend them.

spend bitcoin is not easy, you may know, there are not so much Stores or Shops who are willing to accept bitcoin.

At some point I will sell but it will be awhile when I'm willing to do that. I'm waiting for bitcoin to reach a new ATH and then I'll think about selling.
But currently we still haven't reached the top in my opinion.

For me I don't buy bitcoins that often I just want to earn it so I don't touch my fiat money. I just collect it true signature campaign and other methods like a online join that pays bitcoin. But buying bitcoins is nice when is low and when is high then you can sell it and mkae profit.

Beside buying coins for trading purposes, I buy Bitcoins if I have want to pay some one or if I want to purchase something. At this point I don't buy coins for holding them as I am already happy with the coins I currently have.
