I go by the rule "Never sell for lower price than you paid for it" , so i'm good either way you turn it around. You're right about people getting
in green with their bitcoin investments, and that will only get better with time, unless for those who sold at a loss..

cheers

I've made a couple hundred bucks off investing in bitcoin. The only time I've gone into the red was the $500 to $380 drop. But bitcoin regained after that, so I'm fine. I'm not much of a long term trader, but I so day trading, and that's quite profitable.

I've seen a couple people Gamble high on primedice and lost though, so either their rich bastards or have already made alot.

I think anyone who held for this long and sells when it's a few hundred or even 1000 is a little crazy. We've only just begun.

Definitely. I bought them all at when they were still at the $200 low.

Now I've got more than double the profit and the price is still going up up up.

Im definitely above even for a while now. I started buying every month when it was on the 2xx. I thought "this is way too strange, there's no way the price is being so stable at this low price, I know the time to stack up is now or never". So I have been buying monthly, and continue to do so, and there's no way im going to sell them.

I could sell it now and make profit but I would rather wait a while longer for it to rise more.
Good decision mate, some economic says that in the 2016 bitcoin will raise to 1000$.. Surely, it's not probably right but patient person will gain a good thins I sure

Selling now is for security, waiting is risky, but can be profitable.

I'd say the best is to halve everything. Sell half your btc now and wait a bit for the other half, this way you're sure you made some profit but you can also expect more from future rise.

Just my point of view though =)

Well, most of them probably got disenchanted and left here a long time ago.

I got into bitcoin just after the peak, doing altcoin mining and selling them for BTC all through 2014 along with trading some alts along the way. It would be an accountants' nightmare to try to tally up the mining rig and electricity costs (etc.) vs. the mining revenue but I think I roughly broke even, thanks to a windfall investment in Dark/Dash at a good time. Actually better than even, since I was able to sell a couple GPU's at the end and was left with a very powerful system to enjoy for personal use.  Then in 2015 I started buying BTC with savings in the $217-264 range, so I'm very happy with how things are running now. Just had to have faith during the tough sledding period of 2014.

I am one of the lucky ones who bought in when we were around $220, so I am in the green now.  My issue is that I could not buy enough at this time in order to keep a profit.  I was only able to buy what I needed and now I have very little.  I am still in the green, but I wish I could have bought more at that time.

That good in Bitcoin If we save for a long term in bitcoin savings That would be helpful for sure in future and some of the people doing bitcoin as short term like as it is changing to fiat cash but If they save that good for them only.I use to buy bitcoin in the time 250$ to 300$ now just savings Not going with buying.

i believe that buying even now will look like an absolute bargain in 10 years, so yes i bought some at higher prices but even then its gone be profit eventually.  i dont buy for a quick turn around.

The higher the entry point to make 1 BTC gets for the average citizen the more elite you are in the Bitcoin ecosystem and that's how it should be, people that take risks and are visionaries should be given rewards, that's I find it funny when some people complain the super early adopters all rich already.

As for me, I am ahead. I learnt about Bitcoin about a year ago or so. Was around 311 at that time, so now it is almost the higher Bitcoin I have seen (apart from the last raise some weeks ago). That is pretty good!

I guess it also will get higher this year, so the subject is true for me.

Bought 1200$ at 325, sold everything today for 1750$.

Yup I'm ahead no doubt about that, I'd say it's  the time to sell, bitcoin will drop. There is absolutely no reason it stays at 500$ for me, it will drop unless more companies allow paying in btc.

The faith of people in btc can't stay until things change and scams are reduced!

I actually bought mine around the $200 mark, so right now I already doubled my investment. I'm just sorry that I haven't bought more than I did, unfortunately I   haven't had any more money to invest...

Funny reading these thread's where everybody seems to be 'up'. Where are all the murdered sheep?

The sheeps are in fiat. They enjoy their Christsmas credit card promos, their Christsmas usury bank loan with 900% interest rate, or their Bond investments that will vanish pretty soon in the next crisis.

Bitcoin is for the enlightened sheep Cheesy

And of course for some wolfs.
