whatever your thoughts are on the alex jones show it is a big audience bitcoin would be perfect for

http://www.infowars.com/dollar-less-iranians-discover-bitcoin-virtual-currency/

someone needs to get in touch with jones and get bitcoin explained to him fully - going to do a small part by sending an email about them accepting on their store

Integrated Distributed Ledgers
A whole world of different blockchains living together in a single network based on DAG. No more gates, bridges, portals or special nodes connecting blockchains into a single whole. Only one p2p network, consisting of blockchains of various types: from private for state and corporate networks to public for crypto projects.

This will be epic! An event where Bitcointalk and Prisonplanet would collide would provide the most tasty Drama Fallout I can imagine.

I suggest we send Trace Mayer to talk to Alex. That would be great.

We could send Max Keiser... but he needs a teeny bit more education himself first.

It's funny how we want to send Trace everywhere Wink. He's doing an awesome job wherever he pops up.

Max Keiser has been on Alex's show and they did talk a little about Bitcoin. I think Alex just doesn't get Bitcoin and probably never will. Kinda like magnets, but he still uses them.

Ugh...  and I thought genjix's approach in spruiking the 'subversiveness' of Bitcoin to London financial types was bad,
now we're going to associate yet more heavily with the conspiracy-nutters too?

Things were looking up with wordpress adoption and the work of bitpay, bitinstant, paymium etc giving a 'businesslike' impression...
infowars etc is the wrong emphasis for me, but Ah well - I guess (hope?) Bitcoin is already big enough to handle it all.

(please take this post with a grain of salt and not the wrong way, it's largely hyperbole)

Haha. That's what you get for joining an open currency. We should've made bitcoin so that only certain accredited institutions can issue it and make it so we can control who can hold how many bitcoins (put a maximum) and be able to take them from people at any time and re-distribute them to people that are more trustworthy and apt to handle money responsibly.

On another note: one could also argue in a slightly other way: Bitcoin is the money of the people! All these businesses (bitpay, bitinstant, mtgox) embracing it poses a risk of westernization or centralization in general. We should push for more Iran-like stories in order to get bitcoin outlawed or at least make its use by businesses severely less attractive so it doesn't get into the wrong hands.

What I'm saying is: Bitcoin is a-political and a-moral. And that's good. Judging any type of use of it as being bad or good is misguided.

Who knows who or what will make Bitcoin big and effect the next breakthrough? Could be US-based western businesses,... could be the people of Iran,... could be porn or drugs or "the resistance". We are not in a position to decide that and any use is good use.

Satin?  Huh
Satin is nice and slippery but what about cotton? Polyester?
