Early blocks won, a casual stroll through history...

I had read enough about some of the early days of Bitcoin, I decided that I wanted to stroll through history to some early blocks via blockchain.info.  Nothing scientific, but I was curious to see what happened in some of those early blocks vs. what we have seen since I started learning about and using BTC.

No real methodology, random exploration, and not in depth.  I was just curious!

I noted at Blocks 1 and 2 that there were NO other trx other than the winner(s) (Satoshi?).  I then looked at Blocks 60, 160, 960 and some others, no other trx either.

It wasn't until about Block 95,000 that I saw some other trx, that block listed ONE other transaction.  Date of that block was in Dec 2010.

Block 106,000 lists four trx.

All blocks examined generated 50 BTC each.

Nothing really important uncovered, just thought I would share.

I would be curious to note when the mixers came in as well as other services.

The first transaction happened pretty soon after the blockchain got started, mined in block #170 not counting the genesis: https://blockchain.info/block-index/15019

Wow, the newly generated coin was on 2009-01-12 03:30:25 (50btc)
that goes to https://blockchain.info/address/1PSSGeFHDnKNxiEyFrD1wcEaHr9hrQDDWc
and that address still have 50+ btc.
Does that address belong to satoshi? if yes than i think he had already died because he haven't touched his bitcoin till now.

Suprised to see some small amounts coming after 2014.

Believe it or not, but some people may have other motivation besides the financial ones. It is very likely satoshi has already more than enough to live from and now is dedicated to seeing bitcoin succeed. He knows it will be a major set back ones those coins start moving, and also, it will mean a tremendous amount of hunters going after him to find out is identity.

It is very likely that those coins never move again, atleast until he can move them totally anonymous (a mixer would still know the origing and destination if they keep logs).

I think that, as long as we have a transparent blockchain showing balances, there's no way to achieve the kind of anonymity that would allow him to move those coins without it being obvious as long as people are watching.

Still, cryptography seems to be able to counter-intuitive things, so maybe I'm wrong.
