It is convenient with qr code scanning as you don't have to copy whole bitcoin address to pay. But for now my mobile camera got damaged so have to do almost alll of transaction via web wallet.  Undecided

The only good thing I like about Apple is it seems that they are contrary towards being bribed into including backdoors on their phone, but this is pretty pointless since they still will be running all of their stuff closed source..

I prefer to use my PC for transactions. I don't own an Android so if I were to make a transaction on my phone I would be using IOS.

In terms of security there should be no question, iOS. I've used it in the recent past but there wasn't a lot of options. Android has plenty but for me it's a very insecure OS, at least it gives me that vibe. I'm definitely not a fanboy but I would trust much more in Apple than in Google, that's just me though. If you use altcoins, then Android is the way to go since if there's a wallet for it, Android has it.

Prefer to use my pc, although I also have some coins in coinbase and have the coinbase app in my phone, I trust my PC better. In fact some days ago my phone had an issue and did not charge.... I inmediately though "What if that was my only wallet?".

Best to have it on PC.

I love both platforms and both of them are amazing feats of engineering and design, I have systems from both sides and both of them already have great apps for Bitcoin usage. That being said, my main daily driver is an iOS device in which I use breadwallet and I think it is, by far, the easiest, most straight to the point mobile app for Bitcoin that exists in any platform. It is a secure, very well developed app that just works well, like iOS devices themselves.

As for security comparisons, both systems are secure and updated periodically. Saying Android is more insecure might not be true: you can also have a jailbroken iOS device.

Eventually the main reason for choosing one system or another comes down to your personal preference Smiley

Android. From all the apps I have tested on IOS, none offers the option of signing message. IOS used to have a stricter policy on bitcoin transactions and there seems to be a limited choice of apps on IOS. On Android, mycelium is great with their message signing feature. This a huge plus for most users who needs the slightly more advanced features.

making transaction through mobile phone/smartphone is so hard sometimes autocorrect will let you mistyping, the app didn't work properly,or you suddenly add some letter which can make the transaction sended to a wrong people, so its not reccomended to do transaction thru mobile phone

A computer is much, much safer than a phone. A phone's software is highly accessible, and apps like coinbase don't require a login by default after you've logged in once, and blockchain.info by default only requires a four letter pin, which consists of the numbers 1-9.

My computer on the other hand, has an antivirus that I actually feel safe with, not this "mobile" crap. And I use a randomly generated password, not some pin... ew...

Phones are so much less secure than laptops if you are going to send bitcoin by phone you really should keep your private keys offline, no ifs, no buts, no coconuts:) Your best option is to use Mycelium Wallet on Android holding your private keys on a Trezor or a Ledger Unplugged NFC card. iPhone users are SOL but they knew that when they bought the phone.

Haven't tried any ios apps for bitcoin since I'm not a big fan of the platform.
I'm very happy with Mycelium for Android though, have used it a couple of times for purchases in physical stores.
