ForBitcoin.com is in Beta!

Our goal is to support the bitcoin trade based economy. Mining and day trading are great ways to profit, but it doesn't strengthen the bitcoin economy like trading for product and services.

If we want bitcoin to succeed, not as a stock bubble, but as a legitimate commerce system, the community needs to support projects like forbitcoin.com.

So with that said, we hope that you bitcoin ballers will lead the way and participate.

We see a lot of folks on here asking for bitcoin, well now it's time to make things easier for you to EARN bitcoin.

What would you do for bitcoin?

  • Can you track someone's identity based on a forum post they made insulting someone's mother?
  • Can you hack someone's email account to find out if they are cheating?
  • Can you write articles about manboob reduction?
  • Can you cartoonify facebook profile pictures?
  • Are you a great motherlover?

Whatever your special talent is, head over to forbitcoin.com and tell us what you would do for bitcoin!

EDIT.

June 16 2011 The first week has been awesome. We've got thousands of visits and nearly 500 jobs posted!

June 8 2011 Launch contest has arrived! We need buyers. Anyone who makes a purchase during the launch contest will get a chance to win up to 10 bitcoins.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

So I've created an account and put up some ads, but I've made an error with my price. I can't change this. I also think your price options are too limited. Can you please fix this?

Also, how do I remove an ad?

You need to stop forcing the images people post to an unnatural aspect ratio. It distorts the images which makes them look really bad.

Thanks for putting up some gigs!

You can't change the price once it's up just in case there's deals happening - it would mess up the system if the price changed.

You can go to your seller account (Login > Seller > My Gigs) and then you can delete the job (or suspend it for now) and make a new one with a different price.

Look What You Did For Bitcoin! A look at some of this weeks best completed jobs.

Brad from forbitcoin.com here again. Thanks to all 8000 of you who visited this week, all 439 of you who posted gigs, and all 0 of you who remembered my birthday =\  I'm kidding, my birthday was last year.

I wanted to update everyone here about the progress. Here's a quick look at some jobs that were completed this week.

BTCcoder has been helping people with their coding problems, how nice of him. http://bit.ly/jIoBXd
NeilDLR has been selling bitcoin market invites in a van down by the river. http://bit.ly/ioYpfG
Ecogex made a tastu logo for a new startup that lets you drink you bitcoins. http://bit.ly/iA9Dya

Gig Tip of the Week

The best way to get buyers for your gig is to go on the bitcoin forums, and the irc channels, and be a pimp. Promote your forbitcoin.com job url! Tell people what you will do for bitcoin.  Don't just put up a gig and forget about it like it's leftover pancake...you have to promote your gig!

Sell yourself like you have no self-respect, it works for K$sha!

Ladies & gentlement, he bitcoins are flowing, if you just put a little effort into promoting yourself, soon you'll be saying "All ur bitcoin r belong to me."

It was inspired by http://www.fiverr.com/ I guess.

What's up with the site? Is it down or just for me? It was up for sale one time. I dig the concept too.
