Hi,

I have been looking around for ways I can invest bitcoins and see some sort of return on them. I've found BTCJam which seems like a great idea and a good way of making some small quick returns (with the usual wariness for scammers of course). However it seems it would take a lot of time spent on the site to see returns on a long term basis.

Are there places to invest on a more long term scale, something like a year, and see returns on a monthly basis?

https://cryptostocks.com/ is something people seem to speak well of but of course you should be wary because of what happened to GLBSE, there isn't much going on long term wise from what I see, I think we really need a decentralised stock exchange so people can do stuff like that.

Interesting reading about GLBSE. I guess there is always this risk on any site where you pay money in to it and hold an account on the site. I can see how this makes things easier for them to manage and take their fees but it seems to go against Bitcoin's de-centralised nature?

Why hasn't someone made a de-centralised investment system, does it fall in to the 'too hard' category?

There is a lot of work going on with "Ripple" currently that is likely to accomplish this (also "Open Transactions" is another project to look into).

With CIYAM anyone can create 100% generated C++ web applications in literally minutes.

BTCJam looks pretty good.  They at least do a lot to establish credit worthiness.

GLBSE was great when it was around.  I really hope they bring something like it back.
