I don't think this will happen any time soon. If bitcoin continues to go down in value, this might happen by the end of January. I think that if this does happen, bitcoin is able to get back up quickly. It won't stay below $400 for long.

And besides because many are targeting a price range between around $400 many will still buy so the price will not down around that. I see the lowest price for this month will be $440 if we start on today's range.

It can easily drop to a tenth of that once EU and US finish their new laws criminalizing the use and posession of all non government/bank digital currency. From what I understand quick progress is being made to push this within 2016.

Any links, references, articles? I can't see anything on europe.eu that suggests the EU will criminalise digital currencies. The EBA are being naturally cautious, and advising the finance sector against adopting digital currencies until the EU has a regulatory regime in place. That's pretty far from what I want to see, but it's even further from criminalising digital currencies.

And, let's be realistic here, you don't have a great track-record with this stuff, Kwukduck.

Ah, so not the EU criminalising BTC at all? Instead it's some member states expected to urge the European Commision 'to come up with measures to "strengthen controls of non-banking payment methods such as electronic/anonymous payments and virtual currencies and transfers of gold, precious metals, by pre- paid cards"'. I accept the article title was misleading, but you read it, surely? And you understand the difference between the EU, the EC, and EU member states, right?

Got any links that show the EU actually legislating (or even proposing legislation) for "new laws criminalizing the use and posession of all non government/bank digital currency"?

400 was broken two time already, so i think it appear to be sustainable to me, we should not drop easily

but on the other hand i still believe that 300 is more rock solid than 400, we remained there for a longer time

Might never see 400 again...
Very much wow wow ballooning up from big investment
I would get some when they're still in the 4xx in case we hit 5xx and keep going moonwards....

I see a lot of people expect bitcoin prices fell below $400, I think it will not happen until the end of the year.
bitcoin will remain stable at $450 or maybe climb slowly up to $500
It is hard to make any reasonable call without an evidence. So far we didn't have many fundamental developements in the recent month or two that would provide the explanation for the growth we are seeing. That means that the growth is purely speculative and as likely to move towards $500 as to drop to $400 in the next days. I however tend to favour the latter option, seeing that we will slowly get out of steam in this short December run up.

a few days we are quite stable at $450, and usually at the end of the year bitcoin always go up, I saw from the previous year, such as the end of 2013 we touch $1000. so I'm very optimistic we can reach $500 at the end of this year.

the end of the year will reach $ 500 then halving occurred and will continue to rise to $1000 Grin

I think this is possible but not any time soon. It might happen early next year but I don't think it will stay below $400 for long. I think some people might buy in a bunch because they're scared that below $400 won't be reached again. If this does happen, I think it will bounce back up as soon as it went down.

A 200 rate is not likely to happen. But the foundation the current price is built upon, is not there...

The current increase is nothing more then a hype created by some very wealthy man. Their intentions are clear... maximum profit. In this endavour they
make a lot of other people profit too.

I can see a crash coming in some time early next, maybe in January. It won't stay below $400 for long though.
I'm certain that bitcoin can take a hit and can recover quickly from a dip like this.

I think at least one more test of the area $350-400 is due. We will see how it plays out, but most probably somewhere in the first weeks of 2016 we will go lower.
that should represent the real test whether people think it is the 'last opportunity to buy cheap before halving' or we just stay there a little while longer.

With the upcomming block halving people must forget about $200 range prices. There is a fairly good chance that we'll see the price drop to below $400 for a short time, but it won't go much deeper than that.
