I am looking to open a bank account outside of Greece to avoid capital control limits so i can get payments there and then to be able to sent them to online exchange sites so i can buy Bitcoins Smiley

Is such a service exist? It will be great if they don't ask a lot of papers and don't reveal a lot of my personal info.....

Thank you

There are several European banks that will allow you to create an account even if you don't live in that country.

I can tell you right away that there isn't a bank that won't require to fill in papers, email them ultra high res scans of your id or passport, proof of where you live, an electricity bill where it is clearly showing your address or any other bill. There will be a lot paper work involved. It might take several weeks at most to get a working account after all the hassle you have to go through.

And what do you mean with: don't reveal a lot of my personal info.....

Each transaction that you do with your bank account has your name sticked to it. If Greece authorities want the details from the people that are having a bank/savings account outside the country, they will simply contact the bank in question.

Op, I found good article for you. It clears some question you had about offshore banking: http://nomadcapitalist.com/offshore-banking/
And it Banking offshore 100% legal, but not many people knows about that and use it, because it is the secret your government is hiding from you to keep your money close.

Normally they ask a lot of paper, ID is one of the minimum requirement when we conduct business of course so drivers license would do. Some banks in my country only ask photo copy of 2 valid IDs and a 2x2 photo.

Go look for several banks in stable European countries such as Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria. There are plenty enough options to choose from. Try to read their requirements for opening a bank account and find the one with the least hassle and the lowest fees. It will be a hard job though.

There's an easier way.. check https://www.cashila.com/ which works as an online bank account.
You can fund your account with bitcoin or an IBAN transfer, and withdraw your EUR funds to another IBAN account or convert straight to bitcoin and withdraw to your bitcoin wallet.

The service https://www.cashila.com/ sounds great Smiley. Would be even better if there would be a possibility to order a debit card that is connected to the account.

Are there some reviews of people who used the service for some time?

I think that if you have a good sum of money, you can open a Swiss bank account. If you have a friend that live in another country, you can give him physical euros to credit his account and then buy you the Bitcoins. This solution is a bit risky because you have to really trust him but of course if you don't have any other way this may maybe help you for little sums or big ones if it is a relative or your best friend.

Why don't you buy Bitcoins with cash? I heard that there are some tourists in Greece which use the free limit for cash in order to sell some Bitcoins there. It is the easiest way in my opinion. There is no honest way to create a (legal) bank account without many papers.

I don't think this is possible. You're going to have to show your ID and give out your personal information if you want to open up a bank account outside of Greece. It is possible to open up a bank account anywhere in Europe though.

You would need something like Switzerland I guess. I have never used that kind of banking where they supossedly have a privacy policy with their clients. I don't really believe it and as we say data can leak. The ideal situation would be to get your Bitcoins locally, but I guess it's pretty hard in Greece to find sellers that you can meet in real life with.

Theres also no swiss bank account without the need of providing ID and other papers. The next thing is that these days all swiss BA have to be opened at the bank branch in person and are quite expensive. Not the best choise i think.

Yes i can buy from local people btc when the price is 410 euro they sell 465 euro lol Smiley

No way !

The problem for example with Kraken is  that i can deposit euro only from my my bank account and when i do a job on the net and a user want to pay me they can't sent them there Sad

They sent euro to my main bank account that i have the capital control....

So a bank account on another place is perfect for me but when i say privacy i was talking if it is possible when someone do a deposit on the IBAN to may not see my name and surname.
