I thought this is funny, do the following experiment: Put "Satoshi Nakamoto" in google image search and see who comes up everywhere. Exactly, Dorian Nakamoto is everywhere in the pictures and I can't barely find a picture of Craig Wright, it only shows up when you scrow all the way down. So when clueless people search for Satoshi Nakamoto, they will still think it's Dorian. His hoax didn't work.

Yes, and the other thing is, that Craig Wright self proclaimed him Satoshi, while the "real" Satoshi Nakamoto was discovered randomly. Also, I'd love to believe the Asian guy is Satoshi!

Not really surprising in my opinion.. He has been in the News for much longer vompared to the few weeks of craig at the moment.
Maybe on one year it Will be much more mixed ratio.

I don't see Craig ever getting as much attention as Dorian. Google ranks stuff pretty quickly, I know because I have done SEO for some companies that wanted to rank their products. If Craig was relevant to Bitcoin, he would be all over Google by now, but the Dorian Nakamoto incident was much more outrageous than this, and his face is like the other poster above said, very iconic and characteristic, the other guy looks like a regular businessman.

Yes i would believe easily and most of the people out there will believe dorian to be real satoshi rather than this new comer, craig wright. But i think we are quite far away from finding real satoshi.

Side note1: I would be totally be o.k. if Dorian were Satoshi.
Side note2: Rereading the Newsweek article now after having read Wired and Gizmodo is interesting. I can't conclude McGrath found the wrong guy.
Side note3: Comparing the community reactions to Newsweek and Wire/Giz, I wonder if there are unique risks to the media associated with doxxing Satoshi that arise from whether Satoshi is a bad or good guy/gal. For instance, with Newsweek, the story was credible initially, but the community was outraged at McGrath for doxxing the guy (set aside for a minute that Dorian denies being Satoshi and is suing - I sorta think that that is a rational position and strategy for Satoshi to take if he still wants to be anon, fwiw). However, there was a lot less outrage at the media with the recent attempt at doxxing - there was intrigue and some clowning of the reporters involved who clearly failed to fact-check a few things, but nobody is publishing their personal info like they did with McGrath. I think this is best explained by the fact that the community seems believe Craig is more of a hoaxer than a credible Satoshi candidate at the moment (but there is no way to test this theory at the moment).

If I have a mistress I'll put her name on my phone book as John Smith, so if my wife saw her call history to me, she will not think it's a girl. Same thing with Satoshi, I dont think he is Asian, having that name is a dead give away that he is a Japanese.

What ? LOL He has been known to be a cranky, antisocial, recluse who avoids people and doesn't get along with his family. How the hell does that translate into "friendly" ? I'd say i am about the same and i consider myself friendly when i deal with people in the public for *short* periods of time. I love being by myself and left alone though just like Dorian. The only reason people crave attention and being surrounded by others is because of insecurity. I bet me and Dorian would get along great.. we'd both say people are idiots LOL

At least was serious with himself and all the world. Since the first moment. Was exactly the opposite of this last one. Which was almost self declared as Satoshi Nakamoto. To not tell that is more much "attractive" as a personage compared to Wright. I wonder that with those story with its name how must do the true Satoshi to not seems ridiculous or to not become a debatable personage like the above. Every kind of proof that him can show or tell must find an opposite interpretation by someone. Maybe this could be now another new reason that may stop him to become publicly known.

He may not be the real deal, Craig (he is not), but he sure the hell rode it out for all the attention. Some say there is no such thing as bad publicity, and they are right. I am sure once things die down with his issues, he will be approached by some large firm offering him a job. He is not the real deal when it comes to Bitcoin, but he sure in the hell has some skill for people to think he could produce Bitcoin to begin with.

Yes it seems the perfect face of a "crazy scientist" one that with a pc can create a billion dollars currency from nothing He gives me that type of vibes as well, it's like all those charismatic characters from movies like Doc from Return to the Future, who doesn't remember guys like this? He's the perfect character for Bitcoin, even his real name contains Nakamoto which is cool. I can see t-shirts being made which his face being a success once BTC goes mainstream.
