For how many days will my shares stack before getting destroyed? I just bough a 1th/s from nicehash for 10 minutes. Lets see if it can find a block.  They are always gonna be good. But the more share we make to get a block the smaller your reward will be. What are the chances of finding a block with 1th/s hash? I want a full set of 25 BTC   The chances are extremely low!!! But even if you hit it, you only het 1.5+0.1BTC + your shares.. You aint gonna take 25BTC Also, who doesn't want a set of 25 BTC?  Can you /anyone please help me with a mathematical estimation of the exact probability of finding a block all by myself? I might add some rentals to increase that number. okay I don't understand your question. this is a shared pool not a solo pool. if you mine solo or mine on a solo pool. As soon as you stop mining you are done and if you did not hit a block it is over. If you mine here as soon as you stop mining your shares still have value for a few days at least. back to your solo question if you mine 1 day you are about 5160.000 to 1 with 1th 516.800 to 1 with 10th 51.680 to 1 with 100th 5.168 to 1 with 1000th |

What does the numbers in bold represent? Number of miners? Or number of miners with corresponding similar hash powers? |

5168.000 to 1 with 1th
516.800 to 1 with 10th

If you want to find a block by yourself, don't do it here (blocks that are found are shared among everyone). At 1TH it would literally take YEARS to find a block (if you ever found one at all, however it is luck based and you *COULD* find one tomorrow too). But you'd have to mine solo - which isn't done here. |

Youhou Congratz to Kilo17 Curious, how much power did you rent and for how many time ? Probably he rented about 800TH - 1PH (the pool was around 900TH when the block was found). The pool was on that hashing power for an hour or so... |

I am really sorry for what I had stupidly remarked earlier. I was in bad temper due to some personal problems and I just bombarded it here too!  So I take back my rude remark. Btw congrats to kilo17 for this achievement. At least I got some share for his ultimate effort. I am also thinking of coming back here and sharing some of my powers to repent for my remark. Also I have one question before I start: Suppose I have a valid share of 100K today. Will those shares become zero after 15 days if I do not mine from tomorrow and a block is not found within 15 days? And will I get paid for all the shares if I mine everyday until a block is found? I have read his post ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1293193.msg13337241#msg13337241) but if Jonny can help me make that explanation more simpler for me. (I know he is angry with me but I'm really sorry for what happened earlier  ) |
