I found an address that was solving blocks every 10 - 15 mins.

How do they do this? It doesn't look like a pool becuase they've generated a lot of coins but not sent out that many. so is it a farm or something like that?
If this is a farm, is that normal for a farm?

This is not what you would call every 10 - 15 minutes. Nothing special here, just some pool probably. I don't want to waste time investigating who the owner of this address is.

You already investigated it ages ago and found out it's the address from BTCChina Pool. It's been nine months since you wrote about it.

Apparently I did. Time is limited compared to back then.

You already investigated it ages ago and found out it's the address from BTCChina Pool. It's been nine months since you wrote about it. Looking at the date of the first mined coins in it BTCChina mining pool might have started using that address when it split from Discus Fish.

This is rather a odd question. Why does this interest you?

1) You go to the blockchain, search an address and when you see this:


2) Depends on what you consider fresh. If you consider coins that haven't been moved since they've been mined then yes. It has no trail behind it. If you use the blockchain you will see the image above on each transaction.

3) This really depends on the pool. They can do whatever suits them more.

as for the not sending out much. two possible reasons:

1. miners only withdraw once a week/month to pay bills.
2. those miners are probably paying bills via revenue generated from BTCC exchange. like for like., basically using the dirty coins from users of the exchange and hoarding the fresh coins from mining

So the BTC China's mining is very profitable. It does not need much money from mining to pay the costs.

Nowadays you can identify those addresses quite easily! Either those addresses are from a renowned pool such as Antpool, F2Pool, etc. or some individual has setup a personal mining farm and is trying to earn some Bitcoins. In fact, the latter one is highly unlikely nowadays.

It's BTCChina. Looks like that farm is doing pretty well, if you ask me...

But why does blockchain.info show their IP? I though they were labelled as "BTCChina" :-/

i have seem many addresses which are receiving block reweds Bitcoins alot faster then this all are of some mining farm  there are alot of huge mining farms in china its funny chines people can not visit any bitcoin related website but most of the bitcoins are being mined there

there are many large players who earn more coins per day like discus fish, BTCchina,ant miner ,bitfury, BW and knc, some earn more than 100 BTC per day which is incredible. we can just sit and watch

Yup... it would be a btc farm definitely
I saw their transactions... they got 25 btc on  each transaction ..
And then when they get 10000 btc it sent it on another address...
So it is a farm...
