I think economic distress, especially when associated with a lack of confidence in government fiscal or monetary policy, has a tendency to benefit Bitcoin.
Now if the dollar itself crashes in exchange value, which is different from an economic collapse, then of course Bitcoin is likely to rise relative to the dollar all other things unchanged.

If the US dollar is crashed, it means the fiat system in the world is in big trouble as US dollar is the reserve currency. So it is good for bitcoin.

If the bitcoin can buy 100 breads, and after the US dollar crash, the bitcoin can still buy 100 breads. So there is no difference. |

I think not how is the US Dollar able to effect the Bitcoin. I do not know how the effecting currencies works but I am sure that Bitcoin would be fine and we could just do what we always be doing.
If the bitcoin is priced in US dollar, when the price of dollar drops, the bitocin price in dollar will rise. In the long term, the dollar value drops all the time. So the bitcoin value in term of dollar will increase. |

If and when the dollar crashes I think bitcoin will raise in value. I don't think this will happen any time soon. But I'm sure that when this happens there will be a lot more demand for bitcoin.

If the US dollar crashed, than would it affect bitcoin of course but the chance is really low that the US dollar is going to crash and that is because it is still many used.
And it is also important for the most people with Bitcoin so that have to change and some people wants also now to make profit with Bitcoin which that is not possible for them.

It would effect Bitcoin in some way because many people are selling there Bitcoins for the US Dollar and if that crashes then people have to find other currencies to sell there Bitcoins for. I think only the miners will have to sell their bitcoin to pay for the mining cost. Other people can use bitcoin to buy things directly. |

The value of the dollar crashed against the bitcoin at least 10 thousand times. It will crash again and again. I reckon the value of US dollar will crash 50% against bitcoin in the next 10 to 20 year. It could be more if people lose confidence. |

If us dollar crashes (totally impossible according to me) then the first thing that Federal Reserve will (must) do is to create another national legal currency, a new one which will have all the needed corrections which make the us dollar crashes. This is for sure. Then what could happen with bitcoin is (as it is always with bitcoin) a big question market. Because will be measured with the new USA national currency. Supposed better than the us dollar. So from one hand will have the people disappointed from the national currency (the ex one) and this factor can bring most of them versus bitcoin. Move that will increase its price. On the other hand will have a much better new currency associated with all the possible propaganda of the State of Usa. This can slow the flux of the people who will want bitcoin. The result. Everyone make its choice. Offcourse will it affect the bitcoin price and that is only because the bitcoin exist about the dollar or another valuta. So i dont know why you people Keep thinking that is wont affect the price of a bitcoin... |

First at all the Dollar cant crash off course only if there is a nuke dropped on whole america and other countrys that use the dollar but even than the dollar wont disappear.
And not replaced by the bitcoin becasue the bitcoin will be death at the end of 2020.

I also think that it would effect the Bitcoin somehow because many people are selling there coins for the US Dollar so now the users have to search for a other currency and maybe that is going to be harder. So I am not sure how it would go unless it is going to happen. |
