Quote
earning with altcoin was the best thing at that time, but right now the opposite is true

as i see it is the natural step of the evolution
And most of all it means that bitcoin is now the cryptocurrency. Apart form litecoin there really is no competition left. And litecoin is not even actual competition but more like a complementary currency to bitcoin. Point is that it's easier for newcomers to know what to buy. You buy bitcoins (and litecoins if you feel like it) and that's it.
The world of cryptos seems more united in the eyes of newcomers too.

At least that's how I see it.

I think this thread belongs in meta.

Sure there are some bad, useless threads, bit there are also good ones. The mods are doing their best to filter all the bad posts out, give them a break.

Half of the threads I see open here are completely ridiculous or rhetorical.  "What happens if the internet goes down", "how do I make 1 bitcoin per day"...

Is the general IQ of the Bitcoiners that low?  Are we generally stupid?  <snip>
The first thing you're going to notice is that I'm wearing a Yobit signature and you might make assumptions as to why I'm posting.  A lot of folks do.  And that's exactly why these siamese-neuronal-atrophy threads get created...it's so people can up their post count and earn through sig campaigns.  That's why these dipshits start them, and that's why all of Pakistan chimes in on them.

I'm with you, bro.  There's a lot of funkiness in the air around here, but the administrators are capitalists.  Like us.

Or it could be what I bolded there.  ^^^^^^^^^

Why ARE you in YoBit? You're not begged...

If half the threads here are completely ridiculous, are the other half not as ridiculous?

That's the downside of this signature campaign, some will create a thread just for the sake of increasing post count, even if the topic was asked and answered already. Some would even create a loan thread with ridiculous interest rate, amount of loan or no collateral even when user is not that has no trade history yet or newbie just for the sake of increasing post. Some would even ask the obvious.

Yes thous should be in Meta because topic is about the forum.

So if I want to have an intelligent conversation on Bitcoin, where do I go for that?

Not sure if you're trolling.
You have registered in this forum in june this year if I'm right. So you should know where to find what and whom.
You're complaining about the quality of many threads.Regarding this I assume you have read all those threads. If this should be the case you also know that we have some really competent members here around who post as often as possible.
These guys could be a good source to contact for having a good and serious, maybe more deep discussion if you're really interested.
You just have to pm them! Or ask for skype contacts if you prefer talking instead of writing.
Shouldn't be that difficult right?!
PS: I'm not one of those competent guys!

You are registered on July 10, 2015.

I completely agree with you, However, you should be complaining about millions of spammy threads that we can find all over the forum. The administrators should be worried on finding and erasing these threads and scam members.

I don't think we could credit all the stupidity to sig spammers. That would be overlook the greatness of stupidity in our world.

As George Carlin would say, "People are fucking stupid!"

Just get used to it and move on.

50% ridiculous, 25% meaningless. The rest is meaningful. That is like most other forums. Hard disk is cheap.

Weird if you reward people for quantity of posts rather than quality the overall quality goes down and quantity of drivel goes up. If you've got capitalist ideals that's great but there's no need to be fundamentalists either. It'd be great to have the main forum here, Bitcoin Discussion, signature free.

This is what the forum needs...  Grin
As it won't be anything without these stupid and silly talks, so not much surprising, but yes it's much ridiculous when it comes to asking the same question again and again instead of checking the forum just by using that search box above... Wink
