Much of the definition has to do with managing.
There are some very obstinate women. A man can do all he possibly can with an obstinate woman, yet she might not change. Other than that...
A man should husband his wife. That means he should
manage his wife. This means that he should take time to understand her so that he can "
manipulate" her in a loving way, so that she will be happy with the manipulations.
Generally, a man who takes the time to understand and manipulate his wife in ways that she enjoys, will be fulfilled by his wife... and she will be fulfilled by him. They will love each other, and their love will grow. But the man needs to take the time and get to know her.
There are a few obstinate women who will not succumb to manipulation by their husbands, even when it is done in the most loving, best intended way. But these women are few and far between.
